  • Publication number: 20030136840
Abstract: A method for managing integrated circuit test programs using bar codes. First, a bar code of an integrated circuit is read for obtaining an ID code of the integrated circuit before the integrated circuit is tested. Next, a correlation between a test program and the integrated circuit that is to be tested is automatically searched according to the ID code, so as to read a test program corresponding to the integrated circuit that is to be tested. Then, the corresponding test program is used for testing the integrated circuit. The invention also discloses an IC test system for implementing this method.

  • Patent number: 6475154
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for non-invasive blood-pressure measurement performing step-by-step inflating and deflating of the cuff pressure are disclosed. The step-by-step inflation-and-deflation process of the invention can determine the highest inflating pressure and provide enough data to obtain a curve fitting envelope. Therefore, the inflation pressure of the cuff to be pumped much higher than the normal systolic pressure of the conventional method can be prevented. A comfortable systolic and diastolic pressure determination method applying fuzzy control is achieved.

  • Patent number: 5656151
Abstract: A process for determining if intermittent water injection is the best way to remove deposits such as salts from refinery process streams. A water vapor pressure, P1, at stream conditions and a water vapor pressure, Ps, at saturation conditions in the stream, are used to calculate a ratio P1/Ps. If the ratio is less than 0.1 intermittent water washing is preferred. An optimized intermittent injection procedure, frequency, duration, and constraints, is disclosed. Chemical speciation calculations ensure that all accumulated salts are removed, and that an aqueous phase forms downstream of the water injection point having a salt concentration within acceptable limits.

  • Patent number: 5358497
Abstract: A medical locking device securely fits onto finger grips of a syringe. The locking device is axially aligned with the syringe along a defined longitudinal axis wherein the syringe receives a plunger. The locking device includes a centrally positioned aperture which receives the shaft of the plunger. A retaining member is positioned around the aperture and receives the finger grips of the syringe by engaging at least three sides of the finger grips. This eliminates shifting of the medical locking device and there are opposed cutting members which are chordally positioned in the aperture. The cutting members taper as fine cutting edges for wedging into the plunger during execution of a locking position. To utilize the device, the user twists the plunger into a locking position so that the cutting members wedge into the plunger. This locking position eliminates and prevents any further plunger movement in either direction along the longitudinal axis.
