  • Patent number: 7874343
Abstract: A spring motor having a pot shaped housing in which a flat spiral spring is housed. The flat spiral spring is connected at one outer end to the pot-shaped housing while the inner end is coupled to a shaft or axle. To prevent radial vibrations of individual spring layers when the spring motor is wound or unwound, a damping plate is housed in the pot-shaped housing and held in pressed engagement with a side edge of the flat spiral spring. This spring motor can be combined with the wind-up shaft of roller-blind arrangements for motor vehicles, including fixed roller blinds, storage-area covers, or separating screens.

  • Patent number: 7814958
Abstract: A roll-up sunroof shade is provided that includes two guide rails running along the sides of the shade sheet. The shade sheet is cut wider than corresponds to the clear distance between the guide rails. While being pulled out, the shade sheet is forced by an appropriate geometry at the inlet end of the guide rails to form a tube-like loop around a piping member that moves along with it. Due to the wrapping of the piping member, the shade sheet is held in place perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the guide rail.

  • Patent number: 7762306
Abstract: A roll-up window shade for motor vehicle windows is provided that has guide rails running at the side of the extended shade element. A linear push element is provided for each guide rail. Each push element is driven by a separate gear. Therefore, complicated guide tubes, which among other problems generate a lot of friction, are eliminated. A trunk cover has a guide rail on each side of the shade element. For driving the shade element, a push element is provided for each guide rail. The push element is constructed as a non-endless drive element. Each push element is driven by a separate motor and a separate gear. Electrical synchronization of the motors is not provided.

  • Patent number: 7694712
Abstract: A window shade arrangement for a motor vehicle is provided that contains a housing in which a winding shaft is rotatably supported. A strip shaped shade element is fixed on the winding shaft. The cover of the window shade housing is formed by a spring housing. A coil spring for tensioning the winding shaft in the wind up direction of the strip shaped shade is seated in the spring housing. The spring housing, the spring seated therein and a coupling shaft form a preassembled unit.

  • Publication number: 20090078379
Abstract: A side window roller blind is provided. The roller blind includes a support rod having a free end connected to a tension bar. In order to prevent rattling noises, the ends of the tension bar are provided with rollers that contact the window pane such that the support rod is elastically bent during extension of the blind. In addition, the window blind is provided with aligning aids that prevent the tension bar from hitting on the slot edges during retraction of the blind, and from blocking additional retraction, due to vibrations about the longitudinal axis of the tension bar.

  • Publication number: 20080223534
Abstract: A sun protection blind for a window opening in a motor vehicle includes a winding shaft and a blind web, a first edge of which is fastened to the winding shaft. An extension profile is operatively connected to a second edge of the blind web so the blind web can be removed from the winding shaft by the extension profile, counter to a restoring force of a spring element. The blind web can be wound onto the winding shaft by means of the restoring force of the spring element, part of a spring motor having a shaft which is mounted so as to be able to rotate relative to the winding shaft. The spring element is arranged between the shaft and the winding shaft, and a rotational movement of the shaft is synchronized with a displacement of the extension profile during removal and/or winding of the blind web.

  • Publication number: 20080142173
Abstract: A window shade for the triangular window of a rear side door of a motor vehicle is provided which includes a guide rail that extends substantially over the entire bottom edge. In the vicinity of the winding shaft, either a pocket is present or the guide rail from there becomes after a short transitional arc a section that runs at a slant. The sliding body of the slide that runs in the guide rail is rotated appropriately to align the connection arm of the slide parallel to the window post.

  • Publication number: 20080093038
Abstract: A roller blind arrangement has a hollow tubular winding shaft holding a flexible sheet, and a winding spring which is placed in a spring receptacle section. A first end of the winding spring is rotationally affixed to the winding shaft. A second end is fixed to a holding section rotatable about a main axis of the winding shaft. The winding spring has an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the spring receptacle section. The radial mobility of the winding spring is delimited by an inner wall of the spring receptacle section. The winding spring, in a relaxed state, is longer than the spring receptacle section such that the winding spring, in a compressed and untwisted state in which it is compressed approximately to the length of the spring receptacle section, bears substantially over its entire length against the inner wall of the spring receptacle section.

  • Publication number: 20080073041
Abstract: Two drive gears are provided as an extension of the guide rails for driving a roll-up window shade for a motor vehicle. The drive gears are coupled to the winding shaft in a rotationally elastic manner. The driving is carried out via a geared motor, which acts either on the gears or on the winding shaft. The positioning of the drive gears as an extension of the guide rails avoids the guide tubes used in prior art arrangements. Thus, the friction losses found in the prior art, which consume up to 80% of the drive force, are avoided. Furthermore, manufacturing is simplified because the connection tubes having a complicated shape are not needed.

  • Publication number: 20070137803
Abstract: A rear window roller blind for motor vehicles has a curved extension profile and a curved winding shaft, which corresponds in its profile to the curvature of the extension profile. The winding shaft is composed of several winding shaft beads and is supported on an axle so that it can rotate. The course of the axle follows the curvature of the segmented winding shaft. A spring motor is arranged either within the axle or laterally next to the axle.
