  • Publication number: 20080160764
Abstract: A method for forming a semiconductor device may include forming a silicon oxynitride mask layer over a first layer. The first layer may be etched using the silicon oxynitride mask layer, to form a pattern in the first layer. The pattern may be filled with a dielectric material. The dielectric material may be planarized using a ceria-based slurry and using the silicon oxynitride mask layer as a stop layer.

  • Publication number: 20080150007
Abstract: The present invention facilitates memory devices and operation of dual bit and single bit memory devices by providing systems and methods that employ a salicide block to vary and equalize the resistance of a memory array during fabrication. The present invention includes utilizing a common charge dissipation region to mitigate charge-loss by providing protection against charging up of the various lines as a result of further plasma etching processes. The salicide block equalizes the charge dissipation in the memory array by providing each wordline path with a varied amount of resistance in addition to the total path resistance. Because the charge protection provided to each wordline otherwise varies depending on the resistance path to a common discharge element, a salicide block for resistance equalization provides greater reliability and predictability during processing. Other such shapes conducive for any desired resistance path fall within the scope of the invention.

  • Patent number: 7333933
Abstract: The present invention provides a means for an end user to customize a speech-based user interface, such as those used in status and control for such applications as messaging, unified communications, automobile control, and many others. The invention consists of two major components: a graphical configuration component, and a run-time component. The graphical configuration component allows a user to quickly and efficiently: specify the information they wish to be included in spoken summaries; restructure command menus or vocabulary structures to meet their personal requirements, moving commonly-used commands to the “top” of a hierarchy or vocabulary structure, and rarely-used commands to the bottom layers; create additional commands to access information relating to functions external to the system, e.g. access data from the web, or control another device or system, via the web; and save the customization for use by the run-time program.

  • Patent number: 7179204
Abstract: An exercise treadmill is disclosed which includes various features to enhance user operation and to reduce maintenance costs. These features include handlebars with an upwardly curved center section and outwardly flared side portions along with pivoting rear legs for the treadmill frame. The control panel features include snap-in user trays and an overlay covering the numerical key pad along with an auxiliary control panel having a subset of user controls that are larger and more easy to use than the same controls on the main control panel. Maintenance enhancing features include the provision for access panels in the treadmill housing and a belt lubrication system that uses a priming pulse to clear the wax spraying nozzle along with using treadmill operating criteria for scheduling and operating the lubrication system. For injection molded parts such as the control panel, structural strength is enhanced by utilizing gas-assist injection molding to form structural ribs.

  • Publication number: 20060255193
Abstract: A grinding machine for reducing wood objects to fragments. The machine includes a frame that carries an engine and is supported for movement over the ground. An arm is supported on the frame for pivotal movement relative to the frame and the engine and carries a grinding member. The engine drives the grinding member through a drive transmission linkage that is connected between the engine and the grinding member. The drive transmission linkage transmits torque from the engine to the grinding member even as the arm pivots the grinding member relative to the frame and the engine.

  • Publication number: 20060226325
Abstract: A bracket and method for use in mounting a transducer/antenna unit in an underground meter box of the type which contains a remote-reading water meter. The box has a peripheral ledge defining an access opening that seats a lid. The bracket comprises a pair of beams which are spaced-apart sufficient to enable the installation and support of a cap containing the antenna. A pair of right angles on the beam ends are seated between the ledge and lid to suspend the beam and therefore the antenna at a predetermined height below the lid. The height is sufficient for holding the antenna at a position which is optimum for radiating RF signals for pick up by an above-ground remote receiver.

  • Publication number: 20060022370
Abstract: Carpet yarn is provided which is significantly less sensitive to changing ambient environmental conditions. As such, the carpet yarns exhibit substantially uniform wet bulk properties across a wide range of ambient temperature and/or atmospheric moisture conditions so as to reduce significantly (if not eliminate entirely) visible streaks in carpets formed of such yarns. In especially preferred embodiments, the carpet yarns when made are subjected to a substantially higher draw ratio and a substantially higher precrimp temperature prior to being brought into contact with water supplied by means of a non-peristaltic, continuous pressure, steady stream pump. The resulting yarn moisture content is increased to a greater level as compared to conventional carpet yarns not possessing the environmental desensitivity exhibited by the yarns of the present invention.
