  • Patent number: 10019763
Abstract: A system stores financial accounting data in a Base ledger, together with overlying extension ledger(s). An engine receives both generic financial data, and financial data utilized for specific purposes. Utilizing a mapping table the engine stores in an underlying Base ledger, the generic financial data (e.g., a fixed asset acquisition). The engine stores in overlying extension ledgers, specific financial data (e.g., a linear asset depreciation and/or an declining balance method of asset depreciation) derived from that generic data. This reduces memory footprint by persisting the generic data in one location only. The stored data may be read utilizing dataviews combining data from Base and extension ledgers. A recursive algorithm may evaluate chain(s) of ledgers. Embodiments may be particularly suited to store in the Base ledger generic financial data common to multiple accounting principles (e.g.

  • Patent number: 9949435
Abstract: A grain tank level sensing system for a combine which harvests grain. The combine includes an upwardly open grain tank fillable with harvested grain and a cover that is displaceable for closing off the open grain tank. An actuator displaces the cover between an open and close position and either single or dual ultrasonic sensors continuously detect the level of grain in the tank and generate a signal proportional to the level of grain in the grain tank. A control system receives the signal from the ultrasonic sensors and generates an indication of the level in the tank to a monitor and/or disables the actuator to initiate the closing function when the grain tank is full.

  • Patent number: 9774067
Abstract: A plasma power limiter fabricated using wafer-level fabrication techniques with other circuit elements. The power limiter includes a signal substrate having a first side and a second side, an input signal line formed on the first side, a signal transmission line formed on the second side and an output signal line formed on the first side. The power limiter also includes a ground substrate having a first side and a second side, and being bonded to the signal substrate to form a sealed cavity including an ionizable gas therebetween. The ground substrate includes a ground metal layer formed on the second side. A signal propagating on the input signal line at a power level greater than a threshold power level generates a voltage potential across the cavity that ionizes the gas and generates a plasma discharge, and limits power of the output signal coupled to the output signal line.

  • Publication number: 20170112062
Abstract: A combine including a frame, power unit and a crop gathering and processing device. A grain tank is mounted on the frame. An elongated closed end tube is vertically oriented within the grain tank and has a plurality of uniformly spaced openings along its length. A pneumatic pump pressurizes the interior of the tube. A pressure sensor senses the interior pressure of the elongated tube, so that grain building up therein selectively covers the plurality of openings to cause a proportionate increase in air pressure.

  • Patent number: 8943526
Abstract: Technologies described herein relate to estimating engagement of a person with respect to content being presented to the person. A sensor outputs a stream of data relating to the person as the person is consuming the content. At least one feature is extracted from the stream of data, and a level of engagement of the person is estimated based at least in part upon the at least one feature. A computing function is performed based upon the estimated level of engagement of the person.

  • Publication number: 20140020165
Abstract: A potting training device for preventing a potty training child's urine stream from passing through an opening between the toilet seat and the toilet bowl is made of a flexible, water-resistant, preferably non-porous material, having a bendable urine-deflector and a plurality of attachment tabs positioned at the top of, and substantially at right angles to, the bendable urine-deflector, thereby forming an L-shaped configuration. An adhesive material is applied to the surface of each attachment tab and attaches the attachment tabs to the underside of the toilet seat. When not attached to the underside of the toilet seat, the bendable urine-deflector has a flat configuration. In order to attach the potty training device to the underside of the toilet seat, it is manipulated into a curved configuration that matches the curvature of the toilet seat, and is attached thereto.
