  • Patent number: 11095212
Abstract: An electrical power supply includes a power circuit for providing power to a load via a conductor, and a control circuit. The control circuit is configured to set an output voltage of the power circuit at different values to cause the load voltage at the load to change, sense an output current of the power circuit corresponding to each different value of the output voltage, determine an electrical resistance of the conductor based on the different output voltage values and their corresponding output current values, and set the output voltage of the power circuit at a defined value based on the determined resistance to compensate for a voltage drop of the conductor when the power circuit provides power to the load and to regulate the load voltage at the load at a desired value. Other example power supplies, control circuits and/or methods of regulating load voltages are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210134101
Abstract: A technique for controlling access to one or more attractions is achieved using a number of access keys, each being issued to one or more users. An electronic queue management part manages a virtual queue in respect of each attraction and receives electronic requests for attraction access, each request relating to an access key and being for the users associated with it to access a particular attraction. Receipt of each request causes the respective users to be added to a corresponding virtual queue. A time at which each group of users reaches the front of the virtual queue and can access the attraction is determined. The users access the attractions by presenting an access key to an access control part, in communication with the electronic queue management part. Only a user presenting an access key at the correct time for accessing the attraction is allowed access to the attraction.

  • Patent number: 10999310
Abstract: To combat data theft and/or sabotage, a network-level security client may monitor and selectively apply security protocols to manage risk in data transfers within, incoming to, and outgoing from an organization's data network. This top-down approach may become increasingly difficult to maintain within a data network with numerous connected terminals, storage devices, and other devices, many of which may be attempting data transfers simultaneously. In the presently disclosed technology, connected data storage devices each include an endpoint security client embedded in data storage device firmware. The endpoint security clients each establish a security client connection with a network security client upon connection to a data storage network, monitor data transfers within the data storage network, and selectively apply security protocols to manage risk in data transfers, thereby decentralizing some aspects of data security within the organization's data network.
