  • Patent number: 11936255
Abstract: An electric machine includes a stator and a rotor energizable by magnetic fields produced by the stator when receiving a stator current to produce relative motion between the rotor and the stator. A controller is configured to send the stator current through the stator at a current angle measured from the closest one of a pole of the rotor, determine a desired operational output of the electric machine, and determine a desired rotor motion corresponding to the desired operational output of the electric machine. The controller is further configured to calculate a vector control modulation applied to the stator that elicits the desired rotor motion, and adjust the current angle of the stator current based on the vector control modulation to cause the rotor to perform the desired rotor motion and achieve the desired operational output of the electric machine.

  • Patent number: 11936708
Abstract: Techniques for serving a manifest file of an adaptive streaming video include receiving a request for the manifest file from a user device. The video is encoded at different reference bitrates and each encoded reference bitrate is divided into segments to generate video segment files. The manifest file includes an ordered list of universal resource locators (URLs) that reference a set of video segment files encoded at a particular reference bitrate. A source manifest file that indicates the set of video segment files is identified based on the request. An issued manifest file that includes a first URL and a second URL is generated based on the source manifest file. The first URL references a first domain and the second URL references a second domain that is different from the first domain. The issued manifest file is transmitted to the user device as a response to the request.

  • Publication number: 20240085374
Abstract: A photoionization sensor assembly includes a housing defining a chamber with a first end and an opposing second end and being permeable to the analyte gas and non-analyte gases. A radiation source is structured to emit photons into the chamber. A first, second and third electrode are positioned in the chamber. The photons ionize the analyte gas, are insufficient to ionize the non-analyte gases, and causing ejection of photoelectrons from the third electrode. A controller is structured to receive a measurement of a total pressure and electrically bias the electrodes to collect the photoelectrons on the first and second electrodes in a ratio dependent on the total pressure. The controller is structured to determine the ratio of photoelectrons that are collected on the first and second electrodes at the total pressure and determine an amount of electrical current due to ionization by correcting the measured current using the determined ratio.

  • Patent number: 11930390
Abstract: Described are examples for providing intent based network slice management using a management data analytics function (MDAF) to predict deficiencies. A network management system receives an intent for a network slice constituent. The network management system configures computing resources for the network slice constituent to satisfy the intent based on expected performance of the computing resources. The network management system receives feedback with respect to actual performance of the network slice constituent. The network management system determines, based on analysis of the feedback by a management data analytics function (MDAF), a predicted deficiency of the network slice constituent not being able to satisfy the intent. The network management system modifies the configuration of the computing resources based on the feedback and the predicted deficiency to satisfy the intent.

  • Publication number: 20240077268
Abstract: A system for providing discharge monitoring of a firearm includes a first sensor, a trigger pull sensor assembly, an event detection module and a display. The first sensor senses a first acceleration along a first axis and sends a first input signal. The trigger pull sensor assembly senses mechanical movement of a trigger of the firearm, and communicates a second input signal corresponding to a position of the trigger. The event detection module receives the first input signal and compares the first acceleration to an acceleration threshold indicative of a shot; receives the second input signal and determines whether the second input signal is satisfies a second threshold indicative of a shot; determines whether a discharge has occurred based on both the first signal satisfying the acceleration threshold and the second input signal satisfying the second threshold; and generates an event detection signal based on the determination.
