  • Patent number: 12128420
Abstract: A work machine having a belt tensioning system is described. A belt is engaged with an engine drive sheave and a driven sheave of a rotor having a plurality of cutting tools configured for reducing wood infeed material. An idler pulley is mounted to an idler arm that is hinged to the machine frame. An actuator is hinged to the idler arm and the frame. The actuator may be extended and retracted in order to press the idler pulley into stronger and weaker engagement with the belt in order to set the desired amount of tension in the belt. One or more sensors may be used to sense the amount of tension in the belt, and the one or more sensors may be in communication with a control system that controls the actuator to monitor and adjust the belt tension so that it is maintained within desired limits.

  • Patent number: 12130842
Abstract: Methods and apparatus consistent with the invention provide the ability to organize and build understandings of machine data generated by a variety of information-processing environments. Machine data is a product of information-processing systems (e.g., activity logs, configuration files, messages, database records) and represents the evidence of particular events that have taken place and been recorded in raw data format. In one embodiment, machine data is turned into a machine data web by organizing machine data into events and then linking events together.

  • Patent number: 12132760
Abstract: The technology described herein identifies and mitigates phishing attempts by analyzing user input received at the operating system level. Initially, a credential, such as a username or password, is registered with the threat detection system. The technology described herein intercepts user input at the operating system level, generates a hash of the input, and compares it with a hash of a credential being monitored. A credential entry is detected when a hash for the character string entered matches a hash for a credential being monitored. The technology described herein will perform a threat assessment when a secret entry is detected. The threat assessment may use the application context and the network context as inputs to the assessment. Various mitigation actions may be taken when a threat is detected.

  • Patent number: 12124603
Abstract: Techniques for assessing a computing risk of an entity based on a social media footprint of that user. Social media accounts of an entity are identified. Queries are executed against the accounts to determine a social media footprint the entity has based on engagements with those accounts. The footprint reflects at least how much information associated with the entity has been exposed as a result of the engagements with those accounts. Based on the footprint, a risk score for the entity is developed. The risk score reflects a determined amount of computing risk the entity has with regard to potential malicious use of exposed entity information. Based on the risk score, mitigation operations are performed in an attempt to reduce the risk score.

  • Patent number: 12124900
Abstract: A barcode-reading device can send barcode images to a remote server for decoding. A decoder on the remote server can process the images and attempt to decode any barcodes in the images. Once the decoder on the remote server has successfully decoded a barcode, the remote server can send the decoded data back to the barcode-reading device and/or to a host computing device that is communicatively coupled to the barcode-reading device. If the barcode-reading device receives the decoded data, the barcode-reading device can forward the decoded data to the host computing device. In some embodiments, a barcode-reading device can send all captured images to the remote server. Alternatively, a barcode-reading device can send only some captured images to the remote server. In some embodiments, a barcode-reading device can be configured to perform one or more preliminary processing operations on an image before sending the image to the remote server.

  • Patent number: 12121773
Abstract: An athlete monitoring system includes body position beacons, a localized radar system, a foot force detection system, and a processing module. The beacons are positioned at various locations on the body of the athlete. The localized radar system creates a localized radar coordinate system in which the athlete is positioned and, at a first sampling rate, produces frames of body position data based on determining location of the beacons within the localized radar coordinate system. The foot force detection system generates frames of left foot force data and frames of right foot force data. The processing module correlates the frames of body position data, the frames of left foot force data, and the frames of right foot force data to produce integrated ground-body interaction data and athletic movement data.

  • Patent number: 12121768
Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a linear arm portion having an elongate arm member with proximal and distal ends and an elongate support member having proximal and distal ends. The arm member can be slidably mounted to the support member by a sliding joint positioned at the distal end of the support member. The arm member can be movable along a first axis between retracted and extended positions. The sliding joint can include first and second bearing assemblies which are spaced apart a sufficient distance from each other for constraining portions of the arm member within the sliding joint. The proximal end of the arm member that overlaps with the support member outside of the sliding joint when in retracted positions can be capable of some unconstrained lateral movement relative to the first axis. A linear arm brake assembly can be coupled to the arm member for resisting linear motion of the arm member.
