Abstract: A temporary power distribution panel for use at a construction site comprises a box-like cabinet with an interior, an exterior, and a rear side having upper and lower hangers positioned on the rear side of the cabinet for securing the cabinet to a post, wall, or wall stud. The panel further comprises an electric power inlet for electrically coupling the cabinet to a source of electric power and a plurality of electric power outlets for providing electric power to the construction site and internally coupled to the electric power inlet. The temporary power distribution panel further includes an interior fire extinguisher closet and an emergency alarm bell.

Abstract: A system and method for efficient electronic communication, which allows the user to address an electronic communication to a plurality of recipients each having a corresponding email address, wherein each of said recipients is assigned to one of a plurality of categories of recipients, and assign a delivery priority to each category of recipients without regard to the identity and number of recipients in each category of recipients, wherein a user is not required to assign a delivery priority to individual recipients.

Abstract: A method of aggregating consumer reward data. The consumer reward data is generated from a consumer visiting a website. The method includes receiving a request from a consumer to maintain consumer reward data in a data warehouse. Web reward token information is received from a website operator following a visit to the website by the consumer. A request to redeem consumer rewards for goods/services is generated.

Abstract: A platform used for capturing knowledge. More specifically, a framework configured to capture expert knowledge (e.g., of trained and/or skilled workers) for future instructional purposes (e.g., training of a younger, or less experienced, workforce). The platform comprises a knowledge recorder, instructional design tool, standardized XML, and gaming engine. The knowledge recorder is configured to capture knowledge of a user, which is transferable using a standardized XML format. The instructional design tool is configured to visually model a gaming scenario in order to expose and define logical situations based on the captured knowledge.

Abstract: An instructional design tool is provided for designing learning based applications. More specifically, the instructional design tool is configured to use captured expert knowledge for translating such knowledge into an environment used for instructional purposes. The instructional design tool includes at least one component configured to visually model a gaming scenario using recorded knowledge and graphical content defined by values associated with classes of respective models and translate the defined values into a standardized XML format.

Abstract: A system and method for remotely recording television programs using a remote redundant recording system in case of local DVR system failure. The system and method enables a subscriber station to transmit a plurality of recorded timers to a television provider's head end where the timers are associated with television programs the subscriber desires to have remotely recording in case of a local DVR failure. This system and method also enables the data processor at the television provider's head end to monitor the digital recording device while the programs selected are being broadcast, and in the event of a power outage, record the program selected on the data storage space.

Abstract: A mechanism is provided for scheduling and reserving virtual meeting locations in a calendaring application. Participants use a calendaring application to schedule meetings. If the meeting takes place in a location within the virtual persistent world, then the calendaring application sends the meeting information, including virtual user IDs of the invitees, meeting location, and other virtual world requirements or parameters for the meeting, to a software agent. The software agent receives the meeting information and generates a script for creating the meeting location and a script for destroying the meeting location.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of multiple criteria decision making. In particular, a method of maintaining a complex article is described that includes the steps of; (a) taking a set of options for replacing each of a plurality of components of the complex article, (b) identifying an optimum solution set from the set of possible replacement options of step (a) that best satisfies a plurality of criteria and (c) implementing an optimum solution of the optimum solution set. The step of identifying an optimum solution set comprises the step of evaluating a plurality of potential solutions from the set of possible options defined in step (a) against the plurality of criteria.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to medical devices containing nanoporous surfaces and methods for making same. More specifically, the invention relates to implantable vascular stents or other biomedical devices having at least one nanoporous layer that promotes improved cellular adhesion properties that promote healing and long term biocompatibility. In the case of stents, the nanoporous layer promotes re-endothelialization at sites of stent implantation vasculature, improves overall healing, and reduces inflammation and intimal disease progression. The nanoporous layer may be optionally loaded with one or more therapeutic agent to further improve the function of the implanted stent and further augment clinical efficacy.

Abstract: An aqueous syrup for use in chewing gum, particularly pellet gum, comprises, on a dry basis, greater than about 98% polyols, of which i) about 50% to about 90% is sorbitol, ii) about 3% to about 30% is maltitol, iii) about 2% to about 20% are polyols, other than sorbitol and maltitol, with a degree of polymerization (DP) of 1 or 2, and iv) less than about 20% (and perhaps less than about 12%) are polyols with a DP of 3 or greater.
