  • Patent number: 8055892
Abstract: In an illustrative embodiment, a computer implemented method for providing remote system recovery services is provided. The computer implemented method generates bootable system recovery images to form a set of bootable system recovery images, creates a list of authorized users from a set of subscribers, and receives a request for a bootable system recovery image, including a subscriber identifier, to form a received request. The computer implemented method further authenticates the subscriber identifier in the received request and sends the bootable system recovery image to the subscriber. Responsive to a determination that the user selected additional services, the computer implemented method performs the selected services.

  • Publication number: 20110114032
Abstract: A retracting animal lead having a housing with a handle portion and an internal chamber in which a spool is rotatably mounted. An extraction opening is formed in the housing in alignment with a winding cylinder of the spool for guiding lead material from the spool out of the housing. The spool is rotationally biased into a first rotational position and is rotatable against the biasing force so as, in use, to unwind from the spool the lead material wound thereon. A winding handle is rotatably mounted to the outside of the housing, and a coupling means is operatively moveable between an engaged position in which it non-rotatable couples the winding handle to the spool so as to enable manual rotation of the spool, thereby, in use, enabling the lead material manually to be rewound onto the spool, and a disengaged position in which the spool in rotationally disconnected from the handle.

  • Publication number: 20110060666
Abstract: Improved methods, systems, graphical user interfaces and computer program code for presenting representations or information concerning digital products are disclosed. The representations of digital products can serve to promote certain digital products at an online digital product distribution site. Information concerning a particular digital product can be rapidly accessible from a displayed page at an online digital product distribution site referencing a plurality of different digital products. According to one aspect, a plurality of representations (e.g., images) can be dynamically presented to facilitate access to corresponding digital product information. The representations being presented can be automatically changed on a periodic basis, unless user interaction requests otherwise. According to another aspect, digital product information can be presented in an overlay window that can be initiated by a user and present relevant information concerning a digital product.

  • Publication number: 20110061022
Abstract: A system, method, and computer-usable medium are disclosed for validating weekday and date combinations in electronic text. A target electronic text is processed to identify weekday-date combinations. If a weekday-date combination is identified, then its format is determined and its individual data elements are parsed and then processed to determine whether the weekday-date combination is valid. If not, then a plurality of valid weekday-date combinations are generated from the parsed weekday-date data elements and then displayed to the user within a user interface. The user selects a valid weekday-date combination to replace the invalid weekday-date combination.

  • Publication number: 20100260922
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to medical devices with therapy eluting components and methods for making same. More specifically, the invention relates to implantable medical devices having at least one porous layer, and methods for making such devices, and loading such devices with therapeutic agents. A mixture or alloy is placed on the surface of a medical device, then one component of the mixture or alloy is generally removed without generally removing the other components of the mixture or alloy. In some embodiments, a porous layer is adapted for bonding non-metallic coating, including drug eluting polymeric coatings. A porous layer may have a random pore structure or an oriented or directional grain porous structure. One embodiment of the invention relates to medical devices, including vascular stents, having at least one porous layer adapted to resist stenosis or cellular proliferation without requiring elution of therapeutic agents.

  • Patent number: 7765478
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for scheduling and reserving virtual meeting locations in a calendaring application. Participants use a calendaring application to schedule meetings. If the meeting takes place in a location within the virtual persistent world, then the calendaring application sends the meeting information, including virtual user IDs of the invitees, meeting location, and other virtual world requirements or parameters for the meeting, to a software agent. The software agent receives the meeting information and generates a script for creating the meeting location and a script for destroying the meeting location.
