  • Publication number: 20170083564
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for assigning document classifications is provided. A set of documents to be classified is provided to the user. The documents in the set are selected from a corpus. The user provides identification of a common classification for one or more of the documents in the set and at least one highlighted portion of text in each of the identified documents. The identified documents are compared to further documents in the corpus. Those further documents that satisfy a similarity threshold with the identified documents are identified and provided to the user for review.

  • Publication number: 20170041665
Abstract: A method of modifying the output of an output device is provided. A first code, associated with a first recipient party, is received and used to generate, within the output device, a second code, the second code containing encoded data identifying the first recipient party and instructions for activating an additional functionality of the output device. The additional functionality is activated in accordance with the instructions contained in the second code. The output of the output device is modified according to data encoded in the second code, to encode a third code in the output of the output device, the third code including an ID code associated with the first recipient party.

  • Publication number: 20170033867
Abstract: An optical receiver signal strength indicator (RSSI) circuit for use in an optical receiver or transceiver module is provided that uses a variable impedance device in the supply voltage filter circuit. The variable impedance device is varied based on the strength of the input current signal produced by the photodiode. At lower values of input current, the variable impedance is increased to improve the accuracy with which the RSSI circuit senses the input current, which improves the accuracy of the RSSI signal output from the RSSI circuit. The increase in impedance also improves supply voltage filtering by reducing the low-pass bandwidth of the supply voltage filter circuit. At higher values of input current, the variable impedance is decreased to ensure that the voltage bias applied to the photodiode is at least equal to a minimum bias voltage needed for proper operation of the photodiode.

  • Patent number: 9549628
Abstract: A container support apparatus can include a base body having a first portion, a second portion, and a boundary region between the first and second portions. The apparatus can include a first straight lateral connector member and a second straight lateral connector member, each formed at least in part from the first portion of the base body. The apparatus can include a bottom support member disposed in a coplanar position with the first portion of the base body in an undeployed state. The first and second lateral connector members can undergo downward angular pitching in conjunction with the bottom support member undergoing simultaneous vertical translation and planar rotation relative to the second portion of the base body during transition from the undeployed state to a deployed state, and the bottom support member can maintain a parallel orientation relative to the second portion of the base body during this transition.

  • Patent number: 9514219
Abstract: A system and method for classifying documents via propagation are provided. Text highlighted by a user within at least one document is identified. The document is associated with a classification code based on the highlighted text. At least a portion of the highlighted text is compared with one or more unclassified documents. Those unclassified documents with text that is the same as the compared portion of the highlighted text in the document are identified. The classification code of the document is automatically assigned to the identified unclassified documents with text that is the same. Further, those unclassified documents with text that is similar to the compared portion of the highlighted text in the document are identified. The unclassified documents with similar text are provided to the user for review and classification.

  • Publication number: 20160352566
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media are provided for managing status of state machines in a computing network. Various embodiments of the present technology can be used to track and maintain an active log associated with each state machine in a computing network. The active log of a state machine can be periodically analyzed at a predetermined time interval to determine an anticipated state of the state machine and a current state of the state machine. In response to determining that the state machine is in an inconsistent state (i.e., the anticipated state does not match the current state of the state machine), a suitable action can be taken to switch the current state of the state machine from the inconsistent state to a suitable new state.

  • Publication number: 20160169951
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method for providing an estimated design specification as a function of a number of spatially separated far-field measurements and a predetermined design specification. The predetermined design specification corresponds to an antenna being in a properly configured and a properly excited state. The system maps the spatially separated far-field measurements into an estimated far-field antenna pattern of the antenna based on the estimated design specification. The system provides difference data based on a comparison of the predetermined design specification and the estimated design specification and can adjust the electrical excitation signals of the antenna in accordance with the difference data or the estimated far-field antenna pattern.
