Publication number: 20240104842Abstract: A method for generating, by an encoder-based model, a three-dimensional (3D) representation of a two-dimensional (2D) image is provided. The encoder-based model is trained to infer the 3D representation using a synthetic training data set generated by a pre-trained model. The pre-trained model is a 3D generative model that produces a 3D representation and a corresponding 2D rendering, which can be used to train a separate encoder-based model for downstream tasks like estimating a triplane representation, neural radiance field, mesh, depth map, 3D key points, or the like, given a single input image, using the pseudo ground truth 3D synthetic training data set. In a particular embodiment, the encoder-based model is trained to predict a triplane representation of the input image, which can then be rendered by a volume renderer according to pose information to generate an output image of the 3D scene from the corresponding viewpoint.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Koki Nagano, Alexander Trevithick, Chao Liu, Eric Ryan Chan, Sameh Khamis, Michael Stengel, Zhiding Yu

Patent number: 11934376Abstract: A database management engine provides a user interface that allows users to access and modify employee information in a database. The database includes entries for employees, and each database entry includes identifying information about the associated employee. A user can request to modify data within database entries, for instance in order to update information associated with an employee. Responsive to the request, the database management engine identifies liabilities associated with the database modification stemming from associated tax laws. Based on the identified tax liabilities, the engine computes the aggregate tax liability owed by the employer and/or employee. Before modifying a database entry, the engine modifies the user interface to include interface elements detailing the computed aggregate tax liability. The user explicitly can be required to confirm the database modification in view of the aggregate tax liability.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2023Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: ZENPAYROLL, INC.Inventors: Michael Kelly Sutton, Stephen Walter Hopkins, Matthew Charles Wilde, Alexander Scott Gerstein, Julia Hara Chin Lee, Michael Ryan Nierstedt, Nicholas Giancarlo Gervasi, Matan Zruya, Robert Douglas Gill, Jr., Bria Nicole Fincher, Ningjing Su, Ryan Kwong, Sheng Xiang Lei, Ketki Warudkar Duvvuru

Patent number: 11928773Abstract: In various embodiments, a training application generates a trained encoder that automatically generates shape embeddings having a first size and representing three-dimensional (3D) geometry shapes. First, the training application generates a different view activation for each of multiple views associated with a first 3D geometry based on a first convolutional neural network (CNN) block. The training application then aggregates the view activations to generate a tiled activation. Subsequently, the training application generates a first shape embedding having the first size based on the tiled activation and a second CNN block. The training application then generates multiple re-constructed views based on the first shape embedding. The training application performs training operation(s) on at least one of the first CNN block and the second CNN block based on the views and the re-constructed views to generate the trained encoder.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2022Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: AUTODESK, INC.Inventors: Thomas Ryan Davies, Michael Haley, Ara Danielyan, Morgan Fabian
