  • Patent number: 11191334
Abstract: A sterile enclosure to bring a non-sterile hand-held electronic device such as a smartphone or a tablet into a sterile field comprises a rigid frame, a rigid base and a device holder configured to accept the hand-held device thereon. The use of the device holder to contain the hand-held device prior to engaging with the base and positioning the device therein, allows avoiding contamination of sterile components during use. A sterility indicator is also provided to continuously monitor the sterile enclosure for a possible breach in sterility while inside the sterile field.

  • Publication number: 20210370423
Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods for forming a plurality of aligned holes from a plurality of misaligned holes. The apparatus includes a reamer with a constant diameter a first portion and a tapered second portion. A constant diameter pilot member is connected to the reamer. The taper may be configured to center the reamer and reduce an offset between the apparatus and a centerline of a virtual hole created by the misaligned holes. The constant diameter of the pilot member corresponds to the virtual hole and the constant diameter of the first portion of the reamer correspond to a cleanup hole configured to accept an oversize fastener and fully encompass the misaligned holes. If the pilot member cannot pass through the misaligned holes, an apparatus with a smaller diameter pilot member and a larger diameter reamer is needed to create a cleanup hole that fully encompasses the misaligned holes.

  • Patent number: 11183202
Abstract: Methods for detecting whether a rendered version of a specified seamless connection (“SSC”) at a connection point between two audio segment sequences results in an audible discontinuity, and methods for analyzing at least one SSC between audio segment sequences to determine whether a renderable version of each SSC would have an audible discontinuity at the connection point when rendered, and in appropriate cases, for a SSC having a renderable version which is determined to have an audible discontinuity when rendered, correcting at least one audio segment of at least one segment sequence to be connected in accordance with the SSC in an effort to ensure that rendering of the SSC will result in seamless connection without an audible discontinuity. Other aspects are editing systems configured to implement any of the methods, and storage media and rendering systems which store audio data generated in accordance with any of the methods.

  • Publication number: 20210342527
Abstract: Disclosed is a platform that manages worker users in a temporary staffing environment via an artificial machine learning model. The temporary staffing platform matches available workers to available shifts/gigs. Additional features include generating provisional or near-miss matches and informing workers how to turn those near-misses into full matches, plotting a gig-career path to develop additional skills, gamify development, and automatically generate resumes. The platform generates a set of skill tags associated with each shift/gig performed by the user. Designing of resume text files by the artificial machine learning model includes procedurally generated descriptions of experience the a user has based on the recording of each shift/gig performed by the user and the skill tags associated with each recorded shift/gig, wherein a format of the resume text file is formulated by the artificial machine learning model evaluating a mix of skill tags and employers amassed by the user.

  • Publication number: 20210339322
Abstract: Tools and methods for creating a plurality of aligned holes from a plurality of near full-sized holes. The tool includes a cutting member having a first diameter and a pilot member connected to and coaxial with the cutting member. A first section of the pilot member includes a centering member and is positioned between the cutting member and the second section having a second diameter. The centering member may include a cutting surface. The second diameter corresponds to a positional tolerance of misalignment of a plurality of near full-sized holes of the same diameter and a full-size hole diameter. The centering member may have a third diameter between the first and second diameters. The centering member may be tapered. The pilot member may be inserted into a plurality of near-full sized holes and the cutting member may cut through the holes to form a plurality of aligned full sized holes.

  • Publication number: 20210325085
Abstract: A mixing valve for a water heater appliance includes a valve body that defines a mixing chamber, the mixing chamber being in fluid communication with a cold water inlet conduit and a hot water inlet conduit. A plunger valve is mounted within the valve body and is moveable along a translation axis to regulate a flow of water from the hot water inlet conduit and the cold water inlet conduit. A controller periodically initiates a cleaning cycle wherein the plunger valve is moved through a full range of motion (e.g., full hot to full cold). The cleaning cycle may only be performed if there is no water flowing through the mixing valve, e.g., as determined by temperature sensor measurements.

  • Patent number: 10993062
Abstract: Audio content coded for a reference speaker configuration is downmixed to downmix audio content coded for a specific speaker configuration. One or more gain adjustments are performed on individual portions of the downmix audio content coded for the specific speaker configuration. Loudness measurements are then performed on the individual portions of the downmix audio content. An audio signal that comprises the audio content coded for the reference speaker configuration and downmix loudness metadata is generated. The downmix loudness metadata is created based at least in part on the loudness measurements on the individual portions of the downmix audio content.
