  • Publication number: 20170191426
Abstract: A gas turbine system includes a compressor protection subsystem; a hibernation mode subsystem; and a control subsystem that controls the compressor subsystem and the hibernation subsystem. At partial loads on the turbine system, the compressor protection subsystem maintains an air flow through a compressor at an airflow coefficient for the partial load above a minimum flow rate coefficient where aeromechanical stresses occur in the compressor. The air fuel ratio in a combustor is maintained where exhaust gas emission components from the turbine are maintained below a predetermined component emission level while operating at partial loads.

  • Publication number: 20160273404
Abstract: A power generation system may include a generator, and a gas turbine system for powering the generator, the gas turbine system including a turbine component, an integral compressor and a combustor to which air from the integral compressor and fuel are supplied, the combustor arranged to supply hot combustion gases to the turbine component, and the integral compressor having a flow capacity greater than an intake capacity of at least one of the combustor and the turbine component, creating an excess air flow. A turbo-expander may also power the generator. A first control valve control flow of the excess air flow along an excess air flow path to an inlet of the turbo-expander. An educator may be positioned in the excess air flow path for using the excess air flow as a motive force to augment the excess air flow with additional air. A discharge of the turbo-expander is supplied to an inlet of the integral compressor.

  • Publication number: 20150156333
Abstract: A Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) process allows isolation of data usage between corporate and personal endpoints. This process promotes BYOD usage in a corporate environment because of the ability to segregate data (i.e., corporate or personal). This enables BYOD users to bear the financial responsibility of data transmitted as part of such users' personal data plan and not data transmitted for corporate use. The process enhances productivity of corporate employees by removing cost barriers created by accessing corporate data on personal data plans.

  • Patent number: 8645012
Abstract: A system for controlling a marine vessel that includes a sonar depth finder configured to display a chart for a body of water. The chart has depth information for the body of water, and is programmed to allow a user to select from a plurality of depths indicated on the sonar depth finder display. The sonar depth finder further is configured to generate a route for the marine vessel. The route includes a path through the body of water where each point along the path is at the desired depth. The system includes a vessel control device in communication with the sonar depth finder. The vessel control device is configured to receive transmissions from the sonar depth finder. The transmissions include the route generated by the sonar depth finder. The vessel control device is further configured to automatically direct the marine vessel along the route.
