  • Publication number: 20060082063
Abstract: A modified method for playing Twenty-One involves each player making two wagers—a first wager to play the conventional Twenty-One game and second wager to play a SKINS game feature in which the accumulated total of the second wagers (less any rake to the gaming establishment) is awarded to the player having the highest numerical count on the first two cards without exceeding a numerical count of 21. In the event two players tie with the same numerical count on the first two cards, the SKINS wagers carry over to the next round of play. This carry over feature continues until a single player has the highest numerical count on the first two cards without exceeding a numerical count of 21, in which case that player wins the accumulated SKINS pot.

  • Publication number: 20060082829
Abstract: A system for generating a set of bit masks arrays is provided (350-0 to 350-255) where the bit mask arrays (350-0 to 350-255) are such that clusters of entries of different types are spread across each array and entries of different types within the arrays are either part of a larger cluster of entries of that type or are immediately adjacent to a cluster of entries of that type. When a multi-level image (200) is converted to a half-tone image (300) utilizing the bit mask arrays (350-0 to 350-255) a half-tone image (300) which limits the occurrence of small isolated printed or unprinted areas is generated. The bit mask arrays (350-0 to 350-255) are therefore particularly suitable for use with laser printers (28,32) which have difficulty rendering half tone images which comprise small isolated printed and unprinted areas.

  • Publication number: 20060074708
Abstract: A method for assembling and dynamically maintaining a group of professionals having relatively low probability of being charged with professional malpractice using a standardized customer satisfaction survey by monitoring customer satisfaction for such candidate member of the group over a period of time to evaluate and document the predominant satisfaction that the candidate group member is achieving with patients, categorizing the predominant satisfaction for such candidate group member over time as high or low, and if the candidate has a high predominant customer satisfaction over the time period, admitting the candidate to the group and thereafter periodically repeatedly monitoring customer satisfaction for such candidate and maintaining the candidate in the group so long as the candidate evaluates as having high predominate satisfaction.

  • Publication number: 20060062070
Abstract: A data processing system (10) has an embedded non-volatile memory (22) that is programmed and erased by use of a high voltage provided by a charge pump (78). In order to prevent the non-volatile memory (22) from being inadvertently programmed or erased during low power supply voltage conditions, the charge pump (78) is disabled and discharged when the power supply voltage drops below a predetermined value. This is accomplished by enabling a low voltage detect circuit (110) in response to a program or erase operation being initiated. A control register (76) will provide a high voltage enable signal to the charge pump (78) only when a power supply valid signal is received. In another embodiment, the low voltage detect circuit (110) may be enabled by another condition to protect the data processing system (10) from an authorized access.

  • Publication number: 20050234269
Abstract: A homogenous process for the hydrogenation of the carboxylic acids and/or derivatives thereof in the presence of a catalyst comprising ruthenium, rhodium, iron, osmium or palladium, and an organic phosphine is described in which the hydrogenation is carried out in the presence of at least about 1% by weight water. A process for regenerating a catalyst comprising ruthenium, rhodium, iron, osmium or palladium and an organic phosphine is also described in which the regeneration is carried out in the presence of hydrogen and water.

  • Patent number: 6936842
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide an apparatus and method to determine the health of a substrate process such as, for example, a pre-clean process using plasma to remove copper oxide from a copper layer on a substrate, and the point at which the process has ended. In one aspect, optical characteristics and/or chamber impedance are used to determine the process end-point and/or process chamber health.

  • Publication number: 20050184343
Abstract: An integrated circuit has first and second complementary MOSFETs and first and second complementary MESFETs fabricated on a common substrate. An insulating layer is disposed on the common substrate. The active region uses salicide block oxide layers to align the drain and source regions to the gate. Alternatively, the active region uses poly-silicon separators surrounded by side wall oxide spacers to align the drain and source regions to the gate. The MESFET may have a drift region between the gate terminal and drain region for high voltage applications.

  • Publication number: 20050155325
Abstract: Devices and a method for releasing gas in a container after closing and sealing to pressurize and/or prevent or counteract buckling thereof, and or provide structural rigidity and strength thereto and or release components. The method introduces a reactive agent into the container after filling and before sealing. The reactive agent is controlled to react to provide a gas and optionally components, which a) provides a positive pressure to prevent or counteract buckling and provide structural rigidity to the container and b) and or changes the state or characteristics of the headspace and or contents of the closed container. The devices include a closure, a cap and a container. The reactive agent is brought to chemical reaction by moistening, heating, catalyst and the like. The closure includes the reactive agent and is disposed in the container. The external trigger is a device that emits energy that provides heat to the reactive agent to stimulate the chemical reaction.
