  • Publication number: 20230056614
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including medium-encoded computer program products, for computer aided design of physical structures using data format conversion (e.g., of output(s) from generative design processes) and user interface techniques that facilitate the production of 3D models of physical structures that are readily usable with 2.5-axis subtractive manufacturing, include: modifying smooth curves, which have been fit to contours representing discrete height layers of an object, to facilitate the 2.5-axis subtractive manufacturing; preparing an editable model of the object using a parametric feature history, which includes a sketch feature, to combine extruded versions of the smooth curves to form a 3D model of the object in a boundary representation format; reshaping a subset of the smooth curves responsive to user input with respect to the sketch feature; and replaying the parametric feature history to reconstruct the 3D model of the object, as changed by the user input.

  • Patent number: 11584860
Abstract: The present invention provides for a composition comprising a pigment, wherein the composition is suitable for coating a surface that is, or is expected to be, exposed to the sun. The pigment comprises particles that fluoresce in sunlight, thereby remaining cooler in the sun than coatings pigmented with non-fluorescent particles. The particles comprise solids that fluoresce or glow in the visible or near infrared (NIR) spectra, or that fluoresce when doped. Suitable dopants include, but are not limited to, ions of rare earths and transition metals. A coating composition includes: (i) a film-forming resin; (ii) an infrared reflective pigment; and (iii) an infrared fluorescent pigment different from the infrared reflective pigment.

  • Publication number: 20230050240
Abstract: Configuration of signal strength calibration offset is provided. A user interface is displayed, to a screen of a mobile device, for configuration of a signal strength offset of a wireless transceiver to a vehicle, the signal strength offset being an offset with respect to a default calibration of signal strength measurements between the wireless transceiver and the vehicle, the signal strength calibration being for use in calibrating a location of the mobile device for a passive zone with respect to the vehicle. An update to the signal strength calibration is received from the user interface. The signal strength calibration as updated is sent to the vehicle for use in locating the mobile device for the passive zone.

  • Patent number: 11582549
Abstract: An ear tip includes a body configured to be mounted onto an earbud. The body includes a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and an inner wall extending between the first and second ends. The inner wall defines and surrounds a hollow passage that is configured to conduct sound waves. The body also includes an outer wall that is connected to the inner wall at the first end and extends away from the inner wall toward the second end. The inner wall has an oblong cross-sectional shape that is configured to accommodate a corresponding nozzle on the earbud. The inner wall includes a ring that is formed of a rigid material and engages and conforms to the oblong shape of the nozzle, which inhibits improper mounting and rotation of the ear tip relative to the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 11580460
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for replacing a listing of a canceled booking for a guest user. In an embodiment, an accommodation management system receives an indication that a booking by the guest user has been canceled. The system retrieves, from an attribute database, attributes of the canceled listing and maps each attribute to a set of similar attributes in an equivalence table. The system retrieves, from a listing database, a set of comparable listings, each of which includes one or more of the mapped similar attributes and available during the same time period as the canceled booking. The system books one of the comparable listings for the guest user during the time period by populating a booking data structure with a connection between the comparable listing and the guest user.

  • Patent number: 11578520
Abstract: A commercial vehicle used for parcel delivery is installed with a control module. The control module communicates wirelessly with a transmitter to give control to the vehicle operator. The vehicle operator can access the vehicle's cargo compartment through the bulkhead door and/or the rear door solely by using the transmitter as opposed to manually actuating the door latch. A door actuator is added to the bulkhead door such that when the bulkhead door is wirelessly actuated the door opens without operator assistance, and the process of the door opening does not damage the vehicle. Additionally, the vehicle operator can initiate the control module to allow a push-button start and stop of the vehicle's ignition system. Such elements contribute to time savings and cost savings for parcel delivery operators.

  • Patent number: 11575556
Abstract: A communication system is configured to generate a perturbed signal by perturbing an amplitude of a spectrum of an original signal in one or more spectral regions, and to propagate the perturbed signal through components of the communication system. The communication system is further configured to obtain a measurement of the perturbed signal in a first spectral region of the one or more spectral regions following the propagation of the perturbed signal, and to calculate an estimate of an impairment associated with the communication system based on the measurement.

  • Patent number: 11574257
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for replacing an accommodation of a canceled booking for a guest user. In an embodiment, an accommodation management system receives, from a homestay application, an indication that a booking for the accommodation in a region by the guest user over a time period has been canceled. The system retrieves a homestay listing associated with the booking and retrieves attributes of the homestay listing. The system maps each attribute to a set of similar attributes in an equivalence table. The system retrieves a set of available hotel listings in the region for the same time period and determines attributes of each available hotel listing. The system determines a set of comparable hotel listings that each include similar attributes to the homestay listing and sends a command to book a comparable hotel listing the guest user during the time period.

  • Patent number: 11563848
Abstract: Implementations are directed to using an assistant to initiate automated telephone calls with entities. Some implementations identify an item of interest, identify a group of entities associated with the item, and initiate the calls with the entities. During a given call with a given entity, the assistant can request a status update regarding the item, and determine a temporal delay before initiating another call with the given entity to request a further status update regarding the item based on information received responsive to the request. Other implementations receive a request to perform an action on behalf of a user, identify a group of entities that can perform the action, and initiate a given call with a given entity. During the given call, the assistant can initiate an additional call with an additional entity, and generate notification(s), for the user, based on result(s) of the given call and/or the additional call.
