  • Publication number: 20180174792
Abstract: A device for generating a source current of charge carriers by a field emission and a method stabilizing a source current of charge carriers emitted by a field emission element are disclosed. In an embodiment the device includes at least one field emission element from which the charge carriers emerge during operation, which lead to an emission current in the field emission element, at least one extraction electrode in order to extract the charge carriers from the field emission element, wherein a first part of the extracted charge carriers contributes to the source current, and a second part of the extracted charge carriers impinges on the extraction electrode and leads to an extraction current in the extraction electrode, an additional electrode on which the source current of charge carriers impinges at least in part and which contributes to an electrode current in the additional electrode.

  • Patent number: 9955813
Abstract: A receptacle holding unit for a beverage preparation device includes a first part and a second part cooperating with the first part; a cavity for receiving a receptacle containing an ingredient; and a driving device for relatively moving the second part towards the first part into a closed position for securing such receptacle in the cavity and relatively apart from the first part into an open position for inserting of the receptacle into the cavity. The driving device has an actuator and a transmission that has a helicoidal ramp arrangement cooperating with a connector member for converting a translational movement into a rotational movement or vice versa. When the actuator actuates the transmission, the first and second parts are driven together or apart by the ramp arrangement cooperating with the connector member.

  • Patent number: 9796366
Abstract: A braking device for a motor vehicle has a setpoint controlled deceleration device, which, upon receipt of a braking request input by a driver or an assistance system, for example, on the basis of a difference between a setpoint value and an actual value, drives a brake of the vehicle to generate a setpoint controlled braking torque for a deceleration of the motor vehicle. In addition, the braking device has a braking preparation control, which, upon receipt of a braking preparation signal, drives the brake independently of the setpoint value to produce at least one braking pressure for generating a preparation braking torque for a pre-deceleration of the motor vehicle. The braking preparation signal is generated as soon as a driving situation is ascertained where a braking request input by a driver or an assistance system is very likely imminent.

  • Publication number: 20170158774
Abstract: The invention relates to antibodies against the human La protein and to their use in immunotargeting, in particular the immunotargeting of tumour cells. The object of the invention is to provide improved antibodies which bind universal target structures on the surface of tumour cells, and to provide novel anti-La antibodies, in particular with a high affinity for La, a universal target structure on tumour cells, which make it possible to use the antibodies as recombinant fragments for immunotargeting. The invention comprises recombinant antibodies comprising: (i) a binding unit of an antibody which specifically binds to an epitope of a human nuclear antigen, preferably human La protein, and (ii) a binding unit of an antibody which specifically binds to an effector cell or of a ligand which specifically binds to an effector cell. • Patent number: 8938346
Abstract: A method for holding a vehicle at a standstill includes a first phase in which the brake pressure at the wheel brakes is retained so that the vehicle is held automatically by the service brake, and the braking force is then transferred to a parking brake so that in a second phase the vehicle is held solely by the parking brake. A risk inherent in this transfer is that the vehicle may begin to slip. The distance over which the vehicle slides in uncontrolled fashion can be made substantially shorter if, in the second phase in which the vehicle is being held by the parking brake, the movement of the vehicle is monitored by sensors, and brake pressure is automatically built up by way of an actuator as soon as the fact that the vehicle is rolling away has been detected.

  • Patent number: 8759494
Abstract: The invention relates to antibodies to the tumor-associated antigen CD33 and to the use thereof for immunotargeting CD33-positive cells. The antibodies according to the invention are suitable for use in the field of medicine, pharmaceuticals, and biomedical research. According to the invention, the aim is achieved by means of novel anti-CD33 antibodies comprising the complementary determining regions (CDRs) defined in the claim. The antibodies according to the invention are characterized by a high affinity for human CD33, of the order of magnitude of 10?10 mol/l. The CDR sequences according to the invention are suitable in particular for producing recombinant fragments (such as scFv fragments or bispecific antibodies) and for immunotargeting, due to the high affinity thereof.

  • Patent number: 8460114
Abstract: A rotary elastic coupling is fitted with an inner ring and with an outer ring surrounding the inner ring around the periphery by forming an annular slit. An elastomer is provided in the annular slit, which is vulcanized or glued to the inner ring and to the outer ring and fills up the annular slit substantially or completely. The annular slit is meander-shaped around the periphery of the coupling so that radially outward protrusions of the inner ring undercut radially inward protrusions of the outer ring. Around the periphery of the coupling, a relief opening is provided in the elastomer on both sides of the protrusions of the inner ring and on both sides of the protrusions of the outer ring.
