Patent number: 12158414Abstract: In accordance with a method for calibrating structurally identical spectrometers for constituent analysis, a multiplicity of samples are provided and concentrations of one constituent in the individual samples are measured using a reference measuring method. Spectra of the individual samples are measured using one spectrometer selected from the structurally identical spectrometers to determine a preliminary regression model. At least one spectrum is selected from the measured spectra and/or a mean value spectrum formed from the measured spectra. A multiplicity of error spectra are generated using a mathematical model of the structurally identical spectrometers. The individual error spectra are added in each case to the individual selected spectra to obtain simulated spectra.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2021Date of Patent: December 3, 2024Assignee: CARL ZEISS SPECTROSCOPY GMBHInventors: Clemens Michael Bier, Torsten Büttner, Michael Barth, Felix Kerstan

Patent number: 9092496Abstract: A distributed system for administration and storage of data includes a data manager to access a local data store. Several data managers can be chained to form a layered hierarchical structure. All data layers are merged top down to form the resultant data records. Fields can be modified or added in each layer. The system is self organizing in that each data layer only knows about its superordinate data layer. The system provides scalable persistent data storage with centralized data management and the option to locally extend and modify data.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2006Date of Patent: July 28, 2015Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Oliver Goetz, Michael Barth

Patent number: 8899414Abstract: A slide and shell container includes an outer shell and an inner slide mounted within the outer shell. The outer shell and the inner slide are detachably connected to each other along one or more lines of weakness. Upon separation of the outer shell and inner slide along the one or more lines of weakness, the inner slide becomes moveable within the outer shell between a closed slide position and an open slide position. The two or more lines of weakness define an integral opening strip which is separable from the container in order to separate the outer shell and the inner slide.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2011Date of Patent: December 2, 2014Assignee: Philip Morris USA Inc.Inventors: Lucas Chatelain, Philippe Bourgoin, Roger Nuetzi, Michael Barth
