DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS

Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.

Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention. However, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.

The phrase “in one embodiment” is utilized repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.

FIG. 1A illustrates a side perspective view of a can handle device 100, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.

The can handle device 100 includes a c-shaped handle 110, a thumb support 120, a top clip 130 and a bottom clip 140. The c-shaped handle 110 includes a vertical portion 112, a top end 114 and a bottom end 116. The vertical portion 112 has an internal facing 111 and an external facing 113. The internal facing 111 and external facing 113 can have an advertizing indicia 118 on the internal facing 111 exclusively, the external facing 113 exclusively or both the internal facing 111 and the external facing 113 simultaneously. The advertizing indicia 118 include any sports-related indicia such as NASCAR, a NASCAR driver indicia such as Jimmy Johnson or Dale Earnhardt or any suitable sports-related indicia or advertising indicia. The thumb support 120 is disposed on a top portion 117 of the vertical portion 112 and prevents a user's thumb from sliding off the can handle device 100 and serves as a support for the user's thumb to enhance grasping the can handle device 100. The top clip 130 is disposed on the top end 114 of the c-shaped handle 110 and is a perpendicular protruding edge 132 perpendicular to the top end 114. The top clip 130 accommodates and removably secures a top edge of a beverage can (not shown) being attached to the can handle device 100. The top clip 130 also has a cutout 134 for aesthetic purposes. The top clip 130 is flexible to accommodate receiving and releasing a beverage can. The bottom clip 140 is disposed on the bottom end 116 of the c-shaped handle 110 and accommodates and removably secures a bottom edge of the beverage can being attached to the can handle device 100. The bottom clip 140 is a depressed perpendicular edge 142 that recedes below the bottom end 116 and is flexible to accommodate receiving and releasing a beverage can. The bottom clip 140 also has a cutout 134 for aesthetic purposes.

FIG. 1B illustrates a side perspective view of a can handle device 100 with an ergonomic handle 160, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. The can handle device 100 includes the identical thumb support 120, top clip 130 and bottom clip 140 described and illustrated in FIG. 1A and its description. In contrast to the can handle device 100 described and illustrated in FIG. 1A and its description, the can handle device 100 described and illustrated in FIG. 1B and its description includes an ergonomic handle 160 which has a relatively more straightforward c-shaped handle 110 that is made of rectangular planar material.

The ergonomic handle 160 is also c-shaped and includes a vertical portion 162, a top end 164 and a bottom end 166. The vertical portion 162 has an internal facing 161 and an external facing 163. The internal facing 161 has a plurality of finger grips 170 disposed on the internal facing 163 that are ergonomically designed to accommodate a user's fingers. The finger grips 170 provide the ergonomic handle 160 its ergonomic features and can be made of any suitable material. The finger grips 170 include 4 curved indentations 172 to accommodate the four fingers of a user grasping the ergonomic handle 160. The external facing 163 has an advertizing indicia 118 disposed on the external facing 163, as previously described in FIG. 1A and its description. However, there is no advertizing indicia 118 disposed on the interior facing 163 of the ergonomic handle 160, in contrast to the can handle device 100 previously described in FIG. 1A and its description which can possibly accommodate advertizing indicia 118 disposed on the interior facing 163 of the ergonomic handle 160.

The can handle device 100 is approximately 5 inches tall and ¾ ths of an inch wide. The can handle device 100 and its components are made of rectangular planar material. The can handle device 100 can be made of plastic material, metal material or any other suitable material that can be flexible enough to accommodate receiving and releasing a beverage can.

Mainly comprised of an aluminum or plastic handle with clips, the can handle device is a relatively superior alternative in external grips for beverage cans. The handle is manufactured with clips on the top end and the bottom end that is designed to snap on the ridges of a beverage can. The can handle device is equipped with a plurality of curved indentations and a thumb support for optimum comfort while grasping a desired beverage can. The can handle device prevents cold hands, typically a result of directly grasping a frosty beverage can. The can handle device features advertising indicia that is relatively easily seen by individuals who utilize the can handle device. The can handle device is relatively lightweight and will benefit those in search of a relatively more effective option in keeping their hands warm while drinking cold liquid from a beverage can. The can handle device is snapped-on a beverage can such as a soda can, a beer can or other suitable type of beverage can to better grasp the beverage can. The can handle device is ergonomically designed and is relatively easy to place on a beverage can that includes advertising indicia disposed on the can handle device.

While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention can be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.
