  • Publication number: 20220165036
Abstract: A plurality of internet of things (IoT) devices in an environment can be identified. An extended reality (XR) representation of the environment and the plurality of IoT devices can be generated. The XR representation of the environment and the plurality of IoT devices can be presented to a user. Input can be received from the user modifying a setting of at least one IoT device of the plurality of IoT devices through the XR representation of the environment. The setting of the at least one IoT device can then be modified according to the received input.

  • Publication number: 20220164841
Abstract: Presentation of multimedia content comprising at least one advertisement and at least a portion of metadata pertaining to the at least one advertisement is detected. A spoken utterance of a user is detected. A computer-understandable meaning of the spoken utterance by performing natural language processing on the spoken utterance. Whether the spoken utterance pertains to a product or service indicated in the at least one advertisement can be determined by comparing the computer-understandable meaning of the spoken utterance to the at least the portion of metadata pertaining to the at least one advertisement and whether the computer-understandable meaning of the spoken utterance indicates that the user chooses to order the product or service indicated in the at least one advertisement can be determined. If both determinations are affirmative, an order for the product or service indicated in the at least one advertisement can be automatically placed.

  • Patent number: 11341186
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and a system where a processor(s) obtains a video from a user, via a client, and segments the video into temporal shots that comprise a timeline of the video. The processor(s) cognitively analyze the video, by applying an image recognition algorithm to identify image entities in each temporal shot of the video and by applying a data structure comprising a user profile of the user to the temporal shots, to identity personal entities in each temporal shot of the video. The program code generates a search index for the video, utilizing the user entities (image entities and personal entities), where each entry of the search index is a given user entity and a linkage to a given temporal shot and the linkage indicates a location of the given user entity in the timeline of the video.

  • Publication number: 20220147867
Abstract: An approach for identifying training data to exclude from being sent to an AI system from a simulation based on the confidence level that the simulation produced accurate data is disclosed. The approach can generate simulation data to include conditions from historical data captured in the physical world and utilize responses from the physical world as a benchmark. The approach can compare similar simulation and benchmark responses to generate a confidence level for the simulation data and exclude data with low level of confidence from flowing to the AI system training.

  • Publication number: 20220122096
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide improvements in this technical field by utilizing a digital twin (DT) in a virtual reality (VR) environment. A digital twin is created of a product to be assessed in a normal setting (e.g. an automobile on a highway, an appliance in a kitchen, etc). The individual then uses the product in the digital twin virtual reality environment (DTVRE). During interaction, positive and negative experiences are tagged for later evaluation. Additionally, a person's activities with similar products in a physical environment are monitored using IoT (Internet of Things) sensors. During interactions, sensor data is collected. Embodiments compare the sensor data acquired in the physical environment (PE) and the digital twin virtual reality environment (DTVRE). For the product being used in the digital twin virtual reality environment (DTVRE), embodiments estimate, using the collected data, how the product will perform in a physical environment (PE).

  • Patent number: 11308273
Abstract: A method and system for improving audio detection is provided. The method includes receiving activation term data and text data of a multimedia file. The text data is analyzed and potential phonetic matches between a set of terms and the activation term are determined. An audio portion of the multimedia file is analyzed with respect to the potential phonetic matches and a resulting subset of terms is determined. A term is selected from the subset and flagged. An associated control action for preventing an automated device from being enabled is generated and stored. Presentation of the flagged term is detected within the multimedia file being presented and the control action is executed such that the automated device remains in the deactivated state.

  • Patent number: 11303649
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and a system where a processor(s) determine that a user of a given computing device has been authenticated to initiate an application session, that the application session is open, and that the application session has a timeout mechanism triggered by inactivity (i.e., the session not receiving a selection within a first predefined period of time). The processor(s) determines that the application session will automatically timeout within a second predefined period of time based on the inactivity. The processor(s) monitors activities of the user during pendency of the application session with the application including physical and computing activities of the user. The processor(s) determines that at least one activity of the activities indicates engagement of the user with the application session. The processor(s) prevent the timeout mechanism from being triggered during a duration of the at least one activity.

  • Publication number: 20220103492
Abstract: Assessing, using a computer, a state of a participant and sharing personalized data for the participant in an electronic group meeting or collaboration using a communications network. Personalized data is received at a computer for a user participating in electronic group communications including group collaboration. The personalized data received at the computer includes biometric data and personality profile results. The biometric data includes biometric changes in real-time. A biometric change in the user is detected from a baseline for the user. In response to the biometric change, the biometric data is analyzed and the personality profile results to determine a suggested action regarding the user.
