Patent number: 11144734Abstract: A self-learning natural-language generation (NLG) system receives raw data from Internet-of-Things sensors or other data sources and a set of natural-language reports previously generated from the raw data by a legacy report-generation mechanism. The system divides the reports into two groups that are distinguished by differences in temporal characteristics of the reports or of the raw data from which each report is generated. The system performs a diachronic linguistic analysis that correlates values of the temporal characteristics with differences between linguistic features of each report group's natural-language text. The system creates translation rules that instruct the NLG system how to reproduce these differences and uses the rules to translate the raw data into its own natural-language reports.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2019Date of Patent: October 12, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Craig M. Patent number: 11144640Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, a system provides security for a device and includes at least one processor. The system monitors a plurality of networked devices for a security risk. Each networked device is associated with a corresponding security risk tolerance. In response to a monitored security risk for one or more of the plurality of networked devices exceeding the corresponding risk tolerance, a network service is initiated to perform one or more actions on each of the one or more networked devices to alleviate the associated security risk. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and computer program product for providing security to a device in substantially the same manner described above.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 2019Date of Patent: October 12, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Michael Bender, Rhonda L. Patent number: 11095997Abstract: A communications management system (CMS) and related method receive registration information related to a plurality of participant systems (PSs) that communicate audio information between themselves. The CMS transmits a unique signal to each of the plurality of PSs that causes each of the plurality of PSs to produce a unique audio signal and detects an undesirable sound (US) in a PS of the plurality of PSs responsive to the transmission of the unique signal. Then, responsive to the detection of the US, the CMS applies a remedial action to the PS to initiate a reduction in a likelihood that the PS will produce a future US. Finally, the CMS repeats the operations of transmitting, detecting, and applying according to a predefined testing criteria.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2020Date of Patent: August 17, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Gregory J. Patent number: 11068566Abstract: A computer-implemented method validates information indicating ownership of an asset by a first user. Information of parties of interest regarding use of the asset are received. The information associated respectively with the asset, the ownership, and the parties of interest are stored in a transaction repository structure. The identity information of a second user selected by the first user to receive temporal authorization of use of the asset is validated. Responsive to validating of the second user's identity a temporal authorization transaction of the use of the asset by the second user is generated. Responsive to confirming the parties of interest regarding the use of the asset, a notification of the temporal authorization transaction is sent to the parties of interest, and the information associated with the transaction of the temporal authorization of use of the asset by the second user is stored in a transaction repository structure.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2019Date of Patent: July 20, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Rhonda L.
