  • Patent number: 8558252
Abstract: Methods for fabricating semiconductor devices such as LED chips with emission wavelength correction and devices fabricated using these methods. Different embodiments include sequential coating methods that provide two or more coatings or layers of conversion material over LEDs, which can be done at the wafer level. The methods are particularly applicable to fabricating LED chips that emit a warm white light, which typically requires covering LEDs with one or more wavelength conversion materials such as phosphors. In one embodiment, a base wavelength conversion material is applied to the semiconductor devices. A portion of the base conversion material is removed. At least two different tuning wavelength conversion materials are also applied to the semiconductor devices, either before or after the application of the base conversion material.

  • Publication number: 20130109359
Abstract: Aspects relate to pushing of content for use on mobile devices, and subsequent retrieval of such pushed content for concurrent presentation with voice and/or video data transmitted to the mobile device. The pushed content can be indexed and otherwise synchronized with the voice and/or video (or otherwise controlled by a presenter) through a group messaging channel. A calendar entry can include a link to the pushed content, such that activation of the calendar entry can also cause a content presentation application to load and begin presenting a portion of the pushed content. A link to local storage of such pushed content can be provided in such calendar entry. The content presentation application can monitor device events or interrupts in order to detect an event indication generated from the calendar application.

  • Publication number: 20120326159
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are generally related to LED chips having improved overall emission by reducing the light-absorbing effects of barrier layers adjacent mirror contacts. In one embodiment, a LED chip comprises one or more LEDs, with each LED having an active region, a first contact under the active region having a highly reflective mirror, and a barrier layer adjacent the mirror. The barrier layer is smaller than the mirror such that it does not extend beyond the periphery of the mirror. In another possible embodiment, an insulator is further provided, with the insulator adjacent the barrier layer and adjacent portions of the mirror not contacted by the active region or by the barrier layer. In yet another embodiment, a second contact is provided on the active region.

  • Publication number: 20120321060
Abstract: Presented are systems and methods of creating conference calls from messages. A message is acquired that includes conference call details. A conference call schedule system is activated and generates a conference call invitation. Conference call dialing details are automatically acquired for the conference call invitation from a user profile. The conference call invitation is automatically populated, based on the activation, with the conference call details and the conference call dialing details. Additionally, the conference call invitation is sent to one or more invitees, where at least one of the invitees are also message addressees.

  • Publication number: 20100252851
Abstract: A light emitter package having increased feature sizes for improved luminous flux and efficacy. An emitter chip is disposed on a submount with a lens that covers the emitter chip. In some cases, the ratio of the width of the light emitter chip to the width of said lens in a given direction is 0.5 or greater. Increased feature sizes allow the package to emit light more efficiently. Some packages include submounts having dimensions greater than 3.5 mm square used in conjunction with larger emitter chips. Materials having higher thermal conductivities are used to fabricate the submounts, providing the package with better thermal management.
