  • Patent number: 9065931
Abstract: A method for remixing a music piece includes providing a music composition graphical user interface on a portable communications device. The music composition graphical user interface displays a plurality of actionable menu items. A first collection of actionable menu items is provided to the graphical user interface from an internal source. A music remixing algorithm incorporates music rules and can remix the music piece in a manner where only one musical component is remixed at a given time. A music remix database is accessible via the graphical user interface. A plurality of music remix data is organized based in part on a music style parameter. A second collection of actionable menu items is provided from the music remix database to the graphical user interface via a communications network. The first and second collection of actionable menu items displayed in a seamless manner.

  • Patent number: 8973099
Abstract: Described is using a client-side account selector in a passive authentication protocol environment (such as OpenID) in which a relying party website trusts the authentication response from an identity provider website. The account selector may access and maintain historical information so as to provide user-specific identity provider selection options (rather than only general identity provider selection options). The account selector is invoked based upon an object tag in the page, e.g., as invoked by a browser extension associated with that particular object tag. The account selector may communicate with a reputation service to obtain reputation information corresponding to the identity providers, and vary its operation based upon the reputation information.

  • Publication number: 20140293592
Abstract: A rapidly deployable portable lighting system includes a low voltage rechargeable power source, lights, and a wiring harness configured for being coupled to the lights with quick-release connectors. Each light includes a housing, LEDs receiving power from the power source and transmitting light of at least two colors, and a power port for connecting to the wiring harness. A controller is configured to selectively switch individual LEDs on and off, independently of one another, to control illumination. A smart case houses the power source and controller integrally therein, and is sized and shaped to receive the lights and wiring harness for storage and transport. The lights and wiring harness may be removed from the case for deployment.
