Publication number: 20230250398Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing liver cells, especially liver stem cells, which after injection into a mammal or in vitro form liver cells that are differentiated, especially differentiated into hepatocytes, into cholangiocytes, and preferably also into liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSEC) that can e.g. form blood sinusoidal capillaries. The invention is based on in in vitro producing liver stem cells from a sample of liver tissue, cultivating the liver stem cells in vitro for an increase in cell number. It has been found that the liver stem cells that are produced by the process of the invention can be cultivated and increased in number while maintaining their capability to differentiate into liver cells, especially into hepatocytes, cholangiocytes, and preferably also into LSEC. Accordingly, the process of the invention is suitable for producing liver stem cells that are autologous for the originator of the sample of liver tissue.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2021Publication date: August 10, 2023Inventors: Michael Bock, Nora Fekete-Drimusz, Florian Wolfgang Rudolph Vondran

Patent number: 11061091Abstract: A method for the magnetic resonance examination of a measurement object is described, in which a measurement sequence is used in which the magnetic resonance response to the transmitted signal during transmission is measured. It is provided that a correction signal corresponding to the transmitted signal be generated and be used for correction of the response signal. To this end, the correction signal is modulated by a phase value and an amplitude value. The phase value and the amplitude value are automatically and iteratively customized for optimum correction of the response signal by an optimization method using a respective present state value of the measurement signal. Further, a radio-frequency unit (1) is described that can be used to carry out the method according to the invention.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2017Date of Patent: July 13, 2021Assignee: Albert-Ludwigs-Universität FreiburgInventors: Ali Caglar Ozen, Michael Bock
