  • Patent number: 10012692
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for precision probe positioning and testing of an integrated circuit. Methods, systems, and a computer program product implement techniques for determining a particular area of interest for precision probe positioning and testing where the particular area of interest comprises an area less than an entire area of the integrated circuit. Once the particular area of interest for testing has been determined, then a laser probe is steered or otherwise directed to illuminate a plurality of pixels within the area of interest so as to generate reflected signals corresponding to the illuminated pixels. Techniques are provided for measuring the reflected signals to determine information about the IC within the area of interest. CAD data or user data can be used to determine XY addressable pixel locations within the area of interest.

  • Publication number: 20180156905
Abstract: A system for isolating signals from individual vehicles. An array of sensors generates a plurality of time records. The time records are transformed into spectrogram structures, and for each time-frequency point in the spectrogram structures, a bearing is calculated, to form a movement structure. A Hough transform is used to fit a movement model to the movement structure, to form a Hough transform structure. Peaks in the Hough transform structure correspond to vehicles and their position in the Hough transform structure correspond to motion parameters, such as the velocity of the vehicle, and the time of closest approach of the vehicle to the array of acoustic sensors. A model of the motion of a vehicle is then used to associate, with the vehicle, points (e.g., structure elements in the spectrogram structures) from the data.

  • Publication number: 20180008748
Abstract: A method is described herein for the treatment of intracranial aneurysms. The method comprises inserting into an aneurysm an embolism coil coated with a polymeric coating comprising a genipin, such as genipin or a derivative thereof, thereby increasing the stability of clots within the aneurysm. According to one example, the coating is a poly(L-lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) is used to release genipin to crosslink fibrin clots thereby creating more stable occlusions. Increased clotting can improve segregation of the weakened portion of the blood vessel from the rest of the vasculature and reduce the risk of recurrence.

Abstract: An apparatus that includes a computer server having processing circuitry operatively coupled to a memory and a communication interface is provided. A remote image capture device is communicatively coupled to the computer server via the communication interface. The apparatus acquires a captured image of a storage system from the image capture device. The apparatus identifies a pair of physical items in the image, including determining identities of each item of the pair of physical items, and identifying locations in the storage system of each physical item of the pair of physical items. The apparatus processes the image to measure a physical proximity between the pair of physical items, and generates or updates a measure of similarity between the pair of physical items based on the measured physical proximity. The apparatus can also process multiple images to determine similarity between different storage systems or associated persons based on item proximities.

  • Patent number: 9714978
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for integrated circuit wafer and die testing. The method commences by selecting areas of interest accessible from a backside of an integrated circuit where the areas of interest correspond to electronic devices (e.g., gates or transistors or vias or pads). Then, using a small-beam light source such as a laser, illuminating the areas of interest and collecting the reflected signal returned from illuminated areas of interest. A processor analyses the reflected signal to determine logic states and timing information of the electronic devices and compares the determined logic states and timing information to a pre-determined logic pattern to identify one or more errors as observed from the actual electronic devices. Specific points within an area of interest are determined from CAD layout data, and the pre-determined logic patterns can be retrieved from CAD simulation data.

  • Patent number: 9494681
Abstract: An apparatus and method for the pre and post processing of radar signals to allow for improved measuring of circular depolarization ratio data in a weather radar. The system uses a phase shifter, which is periodically calibrated to ensure proper polarity, to alter the transmission phase of one channel of a radar transmission output. Reflectivity signals are then processed in accordance with rules dependent upon the transmission phase shift to reliably extract circular depolarization ratio (“CDR”) data from the reflectivity signals. CDR data is used to enhance hydrometer recognition in a weather radar system.
