  • Publication number: 20160166211
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a method of monitoring the mean arterial pressure of a patient having a blood pump. The method may involve identifying a segment of time associated with diastole of the patient's cardiac cycle, determining a first parameter of the blood pump corresponding to the identified segment of time, and estimating the mean arterial pressure of the patient based at least in part on the first parameter.

  • Patent number: 9314239
Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for securing suture to tissue. In one exemplary embodiment, the implant can include an intermediate portion, a first radially expandable portion extending from the intermediate portion, and a second radially expandable portion extending from the intermediate portion. The implant can be configured to be inserted through a delivery device in a first configuration and deployed into a hole formed in tissue in a second configuration such that the intermediate portion is positioned within the hole. A suture can be inserted through a passageway of the intermediate portion positioned within the hole, and the suture can be tensioned to secure the tissue to bone.

  • Publication number: 20150367048
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a method, control device, and implantable system, for acquiring a plurality of flow rate data points over time, each data point indicative of a flow rate of blood through the pump, calculating, based on the plurality of acquired flow rate data points, a value characterizing one or more features of a waveform formed from the plurality of flow rate data points; and determining, based on the value, the presence or absence of a suction condition in the pump.
