Abstract: Provided is a container having a container body, a bail attached to the container body, and a flexible band attached to a rear of the container body. The flexible band has a first end attached to the rear of the container proximate a top of the rear and a second end attached to the rear of the container body proximate a bottom of the rear. The flexible band is movable between a first position spaced a first distance from the rear, a second position spaced a second distance from the rear less than the first distance to allow the container body and the bail to be grasped at the rear without interference by the flexible band, and a third position spaced a third distance from the rear greater than the first distance to provide space for a user's hand between the rear of the container body and the flexible band.

Abstract: One or more technique and/or systems for a coating roller assembly, including a coating applicator cage frame (122) and a frame wire (102, 302). The roller assembly can comprise a handle (150) coupled with the frame wire (102, 302) configured to operably hold the coating applicator cage frame (122). Bearings (120, 126, 320, 326) can be fixed to the coating applicator cage frame (122) at its both ends. Instead of using typical pinning or swedging techniques for holding the bearing (120, 302), a sleeve can be crimped into place over a treated surface of the frame wire (102, 302) between the second end (106) and third bend (112). In this way, for example, the structural integrity of the frame wire (102, 302) can be substantially maintained, providing for improved durability and a longer life for the roller assembly.

Abstract: A paint tray includes a paint tray having a paint receptacle and a roller area, with two paint troughs positioned adjacent the sides of the roller area. The troughs are slanted such that the troughs are in fluid communication with the paint receptacle. A tool receptacle is positioned in the at least one of the troughs for holding a paint tool away from, but adjacent to, the paint receptacle and the roller area.

Abstract: A pad painter system includes a pad painter having a base portion and a handle portion extending from the base portion, an applicator pad detachably secured to the base portion, and a lock mechanism having a lock tab of the base portion and an tab opening of the applicator pad. The lock tab extends into the tab opening to retain the applicator pad to the pad painter. The lock tab is formed at an edge of a wall and an opening is formed in the wall adjacent to the lock tab so that the lock tab can be resiliently deflected out of the tab opening to release the applicator pad. The base portion can include a tab flange extending out from the wall that extends inwardly from the edge at opposed sides of the lock tab and around the lock tab to stiffen the wall area by the lock tab.
