  • Publication number: 20210258498
Abstract: A depth sensing system including an electronic display, a light source, an array of optical sensing elements, and a depth map generator. The light source is configured to transmit periodic bursts of light in a field of view (FOV) of the depth sensing system. The array of optical sensing elements is disposed behind the electronic display and configured to detect light reflected from one or more objects in the FOV of the depth sensing system, where the reflected light is partially occluded by the electronic display. The depth map generator is configured to receive sensor data based on the detected light form the array of optical sensing elements and determine depth information about the one or more objects by applying one or more neural network models to the received sensor data.

  • Patent number: 11093550
Abstract: Yield criteria of a material are estimated by obtaining test data representing anisotropic material properties of the material and performing an iterative evolutionary search to identify parameters of a function descriptive of the yield criteria of the material. The evolutionary search includes determining an error value based on a first data point of a first population, where the first data point representing potential values of the parameters. The evolutionary search also includes performing an evolutionary process to generate a second data point as a candidate for replacing the first data point in a second population and determining a second error value based on the second data point. Either the first data point or the second data point is selected for inclusion in the second population. Output data is generated based on estimated values of the parameters that are identified by the evolutionary search.

  • Publication number: 20210233348
Abstract: A gaming system may include a game that converts some portions of vertical reels into one or more new reels that span across the vertical reels. The gaming system may convert portions of the vertical reels into a horizontal reel based on triggering symbols. The gaming system may randomly generate and display symbols for the horizontal reel. The generated symbols for the horizontal reel may include multiplier symbols and other suitable symbols. The displayed multiplier symbols may be added together to form a total multiplier value. The gaming system may determine an award for the player based on multiplying the player's wager with the total multiplier value. The gaming system may provide the player with other awards based on winning symbols and winning symbol combinations.

  • Patent number: 11075924
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for targeted authentication queries based on detected user actions. A user may perform various actions during a day, including online, electronic, or digital actions, such as social networking, messaging, and media consumption, as well as real-life actions, such as exercise, travel, and purchases. The actions may be used to determine a user history for the user by a service provider. When the user wishes to login to an account or otherwise authenticate the identity of the user, the user may provide login or authentication credentials. The credentials may be used to look up the user history and cause the service provider to generate an authentication query for the user based on events associated with the user in the user history. The query may be utilized to further authenticate the user by requiring the user to respond with the event associated with the user.

  • Patent number: 11076231
Abstract: Systems and methods of driving plate loudspeakers with different parameters based on frequency region in a way similar to typical cone driver crossover networks are described. These systems and methods may be implemented using arrays of independently controlled drivers which allow a designer to emphasize or de-emphasize certain modes in certain frequency bands. Tuning the characteristics of the plate's motion can also affect the acoustical properties in a larger space rather than just at a single location. The systems and methods described herein can grant a designer a degree of control over the characteristics and performance of the plate.

  • Patent number: 11068411
Abstract: A method including: receiving, via a processor, established upper bounds for dynamic structures in a multi-tenant system; creating, via the processor, arrays comprising related memory-management unit (MMU) mappings to be placed together; and placing the dynamic structures within the arrays, the placing comprising for each array: skipping an element of the array based on determining that placing a dynamic structure in that element would cause the array to become overcommitted and result in a layout where accessing all elements would impose a translation look aside buffer (TLB) replacement action; and scanning for an array-start entry by placing the start of a first element at an address from which an entire array can be placed without TLB contention, and accessing, via the processors, all non-skipped elements without incurring TLB replacements.
