  • Publication number: 20210116711
Abstract: A multifunctional illuminated lighting pad is an apparatus that enables a user to write with one hand, rather than requiring a hand to hold a clipboard or writing surface and another hand to write down information. The apparatus provides a mechanism by which to secure to a user, thus preventing difficulty or danger resulting from a loose clipboard. An illumination source provides ample light, allowing the user to read and write in otherwise poorly-lit areas. A portion of the opaque backing may be secured to a user's pocket and molded to the rough curvature of a leg. An exposed portion of a backing surface holds a writing surface, an LED, and a clip. A thumb-pull cut allows the user to insert or remove a reference sheet from between the plexiglass front plate and the backing, thus allowing the user to refer to information behind the plexiglass front plate while writing.

  • Patent number: 10982627
Abstract: A system and method of controlling variable speed coolant pumps for vehicle cooling systems utilizes a controller that incorporates measured heat rejection and hydraulic system performance data of the cooling system. The controller calculates coolant flow and pressures at reduced coolant pump speeds. The controller then predicts coolant temperatures at the reduced water pump speeds, and establishes a maximum allowable heat flux to avoid boiling of the coolant. The controller then optimizes the speed of the variable speed coolant pump to prevent the coolant from exceeding the maximum allowable heat flux. The maximum allowable heat flux may be determined by keeping the heat flux within a region characterized by interface evaporation pure convection and/or within a region characterized by nucleate boiling bubbles condensing. The controller may also determine power savings created by optimizing the speed of the coolant pump.

  • Publication number: 20210110636
Abstract: A gaming system provides a hold and respin feature that includes at least some award derived from player selections. In some implementations of the hold and respin feature, upon detection of a triggering event, the gaming system provides a selection grid to the player, and the gaming system enables the player to select one or more symbol display areas of the selection grid. The gaming system may convert the selection grid into one or more slot machine reels to play one or more rounds of free games or free spins. The gaming system may retain the symbols (e.g., selected symbols) displayed in the player selected symbol display areas of the selection grid in the same symbol display areas shared between the selection grid and the slot machine reels.

  • Publication number: 20210110073
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for Integrated Circuit (IC) identification, authentication, and tamper detection. Die identification, authentication, and tamper detection techniques are described that employ capacitive sensing of on-chip interconnect. The signal and power routing in ICs have nominal capacitance values that are characteristic of their foundry, and the variance of these values, due to process tolerances, is unique to each device. Measuring these capacitances provides not only support for determining the authenticity of the device and fabrication site, but also provides distinct identification of each part. By integrating Capacitance-to-Digital Converters (CDCs) with low power and area overhead, capacitance values from intrinsic functional nets can be reported, and the need for separate additive test circuitry can be avoided.

A smart phone system may be configured to receive a request. The smart phone system may also be configured to determine an address based at least on the request received, where the address provides access to data on a website. The smart phone system may also determine the address based on a receipt of the address generated by a server system. The smart phone system may also determine a timestamp associated with a transfer of the address at a geolocation. The smart phone system may also determine one or more time periods from the timestamp associated with the transfer of the address at the geolocation. The address may provide access to the data on the website during the one or more time periods.

  • Patent number: 10975331
Abstract: Alkaline or neutral viscoelastic cleaning compositions are disclosed which use non polymer thickening agents. According to the invention, cleaning compositions have been developed using viscoelastic surfactants in a neutral, acidic or alkaline cleaning formulations. These provide the dual benefit of thickening as well as an additional cleaning, thereby improving performance. Applicants have also identified several pseudo linking agents which when, used with viscoelastic surfactants provide viscoelasticity in alkaline cleaning compositions.

  • Patent number: 10974733
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for vehicle use and performance restrictions based on detected users. A user may check-in to a vehicle so that the vehicle identifies the user, such as through providing identification to the vehicle using biometrics, logins, or other information. Using the identification, the vehicle may determine parameters and restrictions on use of the vehicle by the user. Parameters may include information about the user, such as age, health, or other statistic stored with the identification for the user, and may be utilized to determine restrictions on use of the vehicle by the user, such as a speed of the vehicle and passengers allowed in the vehicle. Restrictions may also be set for the user, including speeds of travel, routes of travel, and usage of media players in the vehicle. The usage of the vehicle may be monitored and enforced using the restrictions.

  • Publication number: 20210097559
Abstract: Systems and methods for optimizing a pickup location are provided. A network system receives a request for transportation service from a device of a rider, whereby the request includes a requested pickup location. Based on the requested pickup location, the network system determines one or more candidate pickup locations that optimize for the pickup location. The determining the one or more candidate pickup locations includes determining an actual location of the rider, accessing index scores associated with the actual location, identifying dwell point and hotspot candidates based on corresponding index scores, and selecting one or more dwell point and hotspot candidates as the one or more candidate pickup locations. The network system then causes presentation of the one or more candidate pickup locations on a user interface on the device of the rider.
