  • Publication number: 20250234155
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed relating to proximity detection of devices and targeted information services, such as information campaigns. Disclosed methods provide targeted campaigns to a user, such as targeted campaigns to presentation devices based on proximity of user devices near the information devices. Other methods provide targeted campaigns across various applications, while other methods provide for scheduling campaigns to premises device identifiers based on an event schedule, and other methods provide a hierarchal system for monitoring different sets of premises device identifiers when a user device can monitor for a limited number of premises device identifiers at a time.

  • Publication number: 20250224841
Abstract: A multi-virtual button finger-touch input system includes a cover layer, force-measuring and touch-sensing integrated circuits (FMTSICs), each coupled to the inner surface of the cover layer corresponding to one of the virtual buttons, an elongate flexible circuit, and a host controller. The FMTSICs are mounted to the elongate flexible circuit. The host controller is in communication with each of the FMTSICs via digital bus wiring. The host controller is configured to: (1) obtain force-localization features and ultrasound-localization features of the FMTSICs and (2) determine whether an event is a finger-touch event or a false-trigger event and if the event is determined to be finger-touch event, identify one of the virtual buttons as a touched virtual button, using at least in part a model that has the force-localization features and the ultrasound-localization features as inputs.

  • Patent number: 12346295
Abstract: Hierarchical storage of files is described. An example method includes determining an input/output (IO) mode, a file size, and a file access frequency of a target file, and determining IO mode performances of the IO mode at different tiers of a storage system. The method further includes determining, based on the file size of the target file, respective storage costs when the target file is stored at the different tiers of the storage system. In addition, the method further includes determining a target tier at which the target file is stored based on the IO mode performances, the respective storage costs, the file size, and the file access frequency. In this way, it is possible to make full use of less expensive storage tiers and save the cost of the storage system, as well as to reduce the response time and improve the performance of the storage system.

  • Publication number: 20250209479
Abstract: An online concierge system predicts how available tasks will be for a particular assistant in the assistant's current context. Task availability is computed differently in different embodiments. In a first embodiment, the task availability assessment functionality predicts an expected gap between demand for task performance and supply of assistants to perform those tasks. This expected gap is compared to historical gap values in a market segment (e.g., a particular geographical region during a particular span of time) to make a rough assessment of task availability relative to the average of that market segment. In a second embodiment, a set of features relevant to nearby retailer locations, the current geographic location, and/or the particular assistant is input to a deep learning model, which accordingly predicts a specific amount of time until the assistant receives a first task assignment.

  • Publication number: 20250200209
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for providing policy-based copyright enforcement of media content items streamed to client devices are described. Various aspects discussed herein relate to managing content access rights in an adaptive bitrate environment (e.g., where an asset may be encoded and delivered at multiple different bitrates). The system discussed herein permits differentiated access to the same video, or portions of the same video, where any DRM-type client may read a manifest file including content verification data, which may be video authentication information that is specific to the video. Additional aspects discussed herein provide DRM metadata specific to each frame of a multi-bitrate video to enable the client device to verify the multi-bitrate video on a frame-by-frame basis.

  • Patent number: 12333461
Abstract: An online concierge system iteratively makes a batch of one or more orders available to an increasing number of shoppers to choose to fulfill. Each shopper may choose to accept or reject a batch for fulfillment. To improve batch acceptance and matching between batches and shoppers, the batches are scored with respect to expected resource costs, likelihood of acceptance by the shopper, and/or other quality metrics to iteratively offer the batch to an increasing number of shoppers (prioritizing the scoring factors) until a shopper accepts. The number of shoppers notified of the batch and the frequency that additional shoppers are selected may vary based on characteristics of the batch and likelihood the batch will be accepted by a shopper.

  • Patent number: 12321918
Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for providing a consumer device presence-based transaction sessions are discussed herein. Some embodiments may provide for an apparatus configured to establish consumer device presence-based transaction sessions. The apparatus and consumer device may wirelessly communicate for a variety interactions within the transaction session. For example, consumers may be allowed to provide one or more instances of consumer approval data for payment. The transaction session may be closed upon receipt of consumer approval data or may be kept open based on wirelessly polling for consumer device presence. Based on the lack of consumer device presence, the apparatus may be configured to close the transaction session and subsequently facilitate a transaction. In various embodiments, the apparatus may be a merchant device or a server. For example, the apparatus may be a server of a central system configured to facilitate transaction sessions between merchant devices and consumer devices.

  • Publication number: 20250141200
Abstract: A mounting assembly for securing a cable to an edge. The assembly comprises a first clamping jaw including an integral elongate locking element, and first guides laterally disposed on opposing sides of the locking element. A second clamping jaw includes a locking channel and second guides. At least one mounting aperture is arranged relative to a mounting surface such that a fastening strap may be passed through the aperture and looped over the surface to secure a cable thereto. The guides engage to align, and to guide, the jaws towards each other in a clamping direction. The locking element is insertable through the locking channel in the clamping direction. The locking element and locking channel are configured to interlock to prevent removal of the locking element from the locking channel in a direction opposite to the clamping direction, such that the jaws are held in a clamping configuration.
