  • Patent number: 11015579
Abstract: A transportation system (300) for, and a method (1104, 1106, 1108) of loading for transportation of, a segment (330) of a wind turbine tower are disclosed. The system has a transportation platform (304), the transportation platform having a centreline (320), and a segment support (306, 310) mountable on the transportation platform. The segment support is configured to permit tilting of a supported segment with respect to a pivot point (308) of the support. The segment support is further configured to receive a segment such that the centre of gravity (342) of the segment is offset transversely from: the support pivot point; and from the transport platform centreline. The segment support is also configured to, having received the segment, permit tilting of the segment with respect to the support pivot point to a rest position, and in the rest position the centre of gravity of the segment is alignable vertically with the transport platform centreline.

  • Patent number: 10823156
Abstract: The present invention provides a segmented pitch ring for use in a blade pitch system of a wind turbine. The segmented pitch ring is formed of a plurality of segments manufactured by different processes. In particular, one or more of the segments are formed by a rolling process, and one or more of the segments are formed by a casting process. The segments are arc-shaped or include arc-shaped sections that in combination define a substantially circular circumference of the pitch ring.

  • Publication number: 20160358808
Abstract: In one aspect, several apparatuses are described that allow a processing chamber designed for plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition on 300 mm wafers to be performed on 200 mm wafers. More specifically, a modified pedestal, carrier plate, and showerhead are described that have been designed for 200 mm wafers and are compatible with 300 mm wafer processing chambers. It has further been observed that deposited films using the modified 200 mm apparatuses are comparable in quality with films deposited with the 300 mm devices they replace.

  • Publication number: 20160101443
Abstract: The separator/dryer includes a housing, removable collection trays, a separator assembly, a rinse assembly, and a heater/blower. The separator assembly separates the ammunition casings from the clean media and the rinse waste and includes a rotating separator basket disposed within the housing on a motor driven shaft. The rinse assembly provides a water shower to rinse any cleaning residue, carbon particulate and dust from the ammunition casings and the cleaning media. The heater/blower circulates a stream of hot air into the housing interior to dry ammunition casings and the cleaning media. The removable collection trays are vessels for collecting both the rinsed and dried ammunition casings and the rinsed and dried clean media.

  • Patent number: 8991140
Abstract: A harvest aid machine and method of use is provided comprising a machine having a main chassis. The main chassis includes a roof, a lateral conveyor belt, a chute for storing empty harvest containers and worker stations. The harvest aid machine is powered by a motor and moves using a directional wheel and two rear wheels. Workers load empty containers onto the chute and after the containers slide down the chute, the empty containers rest in a storage station accessible by additional workers. When a worker is ready to harvest a crop, the worker removes the container from the chute and places harvested crops inside the container. The worker then places the harvested crop filled container onto a worker station. After the worker collects multiple harvested crop filled containers, the worker pushes the containers onto a conveyor belt system, adjacent to the worker station, that runs laterally on the machine.

  • Publication number: 20120102814
Abstract: An enclosure for a fishing lure includes first and second panels pivotally attached at a pivoting joint. The panels define an interior cavity shaped for housing a fishing lure. The enclosure can be positioned radially onto a fishing rod for protectively covering a fishing lure while the lure is temporarily stored on the rod. The enclosure includes first and second flanges that extend outwardly from the enclosure. The enclosure can be manually opened and closed by squeezing the flanges toward each other. A spring can be disposed between the first and second panels along the pivoting joint for biasing the enclosure in a closed position. The spring in some embodiments includes a torsion spring with a first end extending into the first flange and a second end extending into the second flange. The first and second panels can include a buoyant material for providing floatation to the enclosure apparatus.
