Abstract: A method of processing a transparent workpiece comprises directing a defect-forming laser beam to an impingement surface of a transparent workpiece, the defect-forming laser beam having a numerical aperture from 0.10 to 0.25, the transparent workpiece having a textured surface, the textured surface having an Ra value of greater than or equal to 0.5 ?m.

Abstract: A method for determining the amount of chromogranin A (CgA) in a sample includes: (a) purifying CgA in the sample; (b) adding an internal standard; (c) ionizing CgA and the internal standard to produce one or more CgA ion(s) and one or more internal standard ion(s) detectable by mass spectrometry; (d) determining the amount of the ion(s) from step (c) by mass spectrometry; and (e) correlating the amount of CgA in the sample to the amount of ion(s) measured in step (d).

Abstract: Systems and methods for presenting an interface for additional content suggestion can include obtaining data descriptive of the displayed content and determining additional content associated with the displayed content. An interface can then be provided that displays data associated with the displayed content and the additional content. The interface can include a first viewing window for displaying a portion of the displayed content and a second viewing window for displaying a snippet associated with the additional content.

Abstract: An Adaptive Tangible User Interface (ATUI) for use in an extended reality environment in which tangible interfaces are composed in real time based on identified affordances of existing objects in the physical environment and the input tasks of a user. An extended reality system can be provided with instructions executable by one or more processors to perform processing including: generating a representation of the real-world environment within a field of view of the user; identifying physical objects within the real-world environment; generating a set of possible performable gestures afforded by available object affordance factors; determining potential input tasks; composing performable gestures for the potential input tasks; and selecting a physical object for use as an adaptive tangible user interface. Techniques for designing a virtual user interface, overlaying the virtual user interface on a selected ATUI physical object, and maintaining alignment of the virtual user interface, are also provided.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for determining a core-to-ferrule offset of a ferrule for a fiber optic connector. A reference ferrule is physically aligned with a core imager by positioning the reference ferrule so that edges of the reference ferrule in a plurality of profile images are aligned with fiducial markers in the images. The reference ferrule is incrementally rotated about its longitudinal center access, a core image captured at each rotational angle, and a reference core-to-ferrule offset determined based on the core images. A test ferrule is physically aligned with the core imager by positioning the test ferrule so that edges of the test ferule are aligned with the edges of the reference ferrule in a plurality of profile images. The core-to-ferrule offset of the test ferrule is then determined based on an offset between the test and reference cores in a composite core image.
