  • Patent number: 9613215
Abstract: A method, an integrated circuit and a system for implementing a secure chain of trust is disclosed. While executing secure boot code in a secure boot mode, less-secure boot code may be authenticated using a secret key. A secure key may also be calculated or generated during the secure boot mode. After control is turned over to the authenticated less-secure boot code, at least one application may be authenticated using the secure key. Once authenticated in the less-secure boot mode, the application may be executed by the programmable integrated circuit. In this manner, a secure chain of trust may be implemented for the programmable integrated circuit.

  • Patent number: 9548190
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for scheduled MS3. A compound of interest is separated from a sample over a known time period using a separation device. A plurality of sMRM experiments are performed over the known time period on the separating compound of interest using a mass spectrometer. An intensity of a product ion of the compound of interest is produced for each of the plurality of sMRM experiments. Each intensity for the product ion for each of the plurality of sMRM experiments is compared to a threshold intensity level using a processor. When an intensity for the product ion of an sMRM experiment of the plurality of sMRM experiments is equal to or exceeds the threshold intensity level, the mass spectrometer is instructed to perform one or more MS3 experiments for the product ion using the processor.

  • Publication number: 20160242302
Abstract: A fastener is disclosed for use in a display structure that includes a bracket defining a detent, a pin that is rotatably received by the bracket, and a latch, e.g., a helical spring, that is in engagement with the pin such that rotation of the pin causes corresponding rotation of the latch. The latch is configured, dimensioned, and positioned for engagement with the detent during movement of the fastener between first (unlocked) and second (locked) positions. During movement of the fastener between the first and second positions, the latch traverses the detent to provide a perceptible indication, e.g., an audible and/or tactile indication, that the fastener has been moved between the first and second positions.

  • Publication number: 20160082342
Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a protective sports glove having a novel combination of liner sections, breathable mesh sections, stretch joints, and shock absorbing cushions to provide maximum protection to the user's fingers, hands, wrists, and lower forearms while maintaining as much flexibility within the glove and tactile feel on both palmar and dorsal sides of the glove as possible. The pattern and construction employs strategically-placed stretch zones, strategic padding placement, and a variety of improved padding constructions all for more flex without compromising protection.

  • Patent number: 9264536
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining the trustworthiness of calling party information, such as caller ID and ANI information, contained in a call request are provided. The method includes receiving a call request at a service provider network element, such as a telecommunication carrier switch. A decision is made as to whether the call request should be verified by reviewing a database of called telephone numbers for monitoring. When the call request is to be verified, a determination is made whether a discrepancy exists between the calling party information contained within the call request and authenticated stored calling party information. For example, the caller ID information in a call request is compared to service provider caller ID information for the calling party to determine if they match. When a discrepancy exists, a discrepancy report is transmitted to the called party.

  • Patent number: 9233288
Abstract: Kaveman Golfe Systems is a golf-like game incorporating the use of a newly designed baseball-style club in addition to newly designed golf clubs for advancing a game ball about a golf-style course. The golf and baseball hybrid game may be played using newly designed golf balls which are larger in size than a standard sized golf ball. The game may further include a newly designed baseball tee for vertically supporting the golf and baseball hybrid game ball to be struck by a player using a baseball-style swing. The clubs, balls, and tees may be stored in a specially designed golf bag.

  • Publication number: 20150311051
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for interlacing ramped mass spectrometer parameter values during data acquisition. Ions from a sample are acquired within a cycle time, Ct, using a mass spectrometer. Within each Ct, two or more scans of the acquired ions are performed using two or more ramped values for a parameter of the mass spectrometer. When it is determined that scans for a desired range of ramped parameter values cannot be performed within Ct, the desired range of ramped values is divided into at least two interlaced groups of ramped values. The mass spectrometer is instructed to perform scans for each of the interlaced groups within two or more cycle times. Spectra from the scans for each of the at least two interlaced groups are combined. The ramped parameter values of the combined spectra have the desired range and the desired effective step size.

  • Publication number: 20150303045
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for compound identification using multiple spectra that are a function of a variable instrument parameter that affects the intensity of fragment ions. A plurality of acquired fragment ion spectra that are a function of a variable instrument parameter for at least one ion are received from a mass spectrometer using a processor. The at least one ion is identified by comparing rates of change of mass intensity, with respect to the variable instrument parameter, for acquired and known fragment ions using the processor. Specifically, one or more acquired rates of change calculated for acquired fragment ions from the plurality of acquired fragment ion spectra are compared with one or more known rates of change calculated for one or more stored fragment ions of one or more known compounds in a database of known compounds.

  • Patent number: 8890770
Abstract: An electronic display includes a controller transmitting display data from a data communication port. Modules are electrically connected to each other in a series connection. Each of a first module and a last module in the series connection receives the display data directly from the controller and transmits the display data to intermediate modules in the series connection. The intermediate modules pass the display data along the series connection in a first direction until the display data is received for a second time by the last module, and in a second direction until the display data is received for a second time by the first module. Each of the modules controls activation of a respective plurality of lighting elements based on the received display data.
