  • Publication number: 20250188770
Abstract: An indicator assembly according to certain embodiments generally includes a mounting bracket, a follower, a transmission ring, and an indicator plate. The follower is rotatably mounted to the mounting bracket, and is configured to receive a tailpiece of an input device. The transmission ring is rotatably mounted to the mounting bracket, and is engaged with the follower. The indicator plate is slidably mounted to the mounting bracket for movement between a first indicator plate position and a second indicator plate position to selectively place a first indicium of the indicator plate within a reference area. The transmission ring is operably connected with the indicator plate such that movement of the transmission ring between a first transmission ring position and a second transmission ring position drives the indicator plate between the first indicator plate position and the second indicator plate position.

  • Publication number: 20250185528
Abstract: Systems and methods automate the design and execution of randomized experiments. Portions of a field are planted using an agricultural vehicle configured to randomly vary planting parameters when planting a portion of the field. A resulting crop outcome across each portion or sub-portion of the field is observed. A training set of data is generated that includes the varied planting parameters and the associated crop outcomes for each portion of the field. A machine-learned model is trained using the training set of data and is configured to predict a crop outcome for a portion of the field based on historical and forecast conditions and a set of planting parameters applied to a portion of the field. For subsequent iterations, for a target portion of the field, the machine-learned model can be applied to identify a set of planting parameters for planting the target portion of the field to optimize a desired crop outcome.

  • Publication number: 20250189051
Abstract: A smart valve gas shut-off system for use in a building to detect the presence of natural gas and to shut off the supply of gas leading to the appliance from where the gas was detected. The smart valve gas shut-off system uses a sensor to detect the natural gas and a sensor alarm, in the form of a light indicator or other indicator, that while the sensor is in the alarm state, the valve controlling the supply of gas to the appliance is disabled as well as the reset button, meaning the valve that controls the flow of gas cannot be opened.

  • Publication number: 20250169911
Abstract: Haptic feedback from a robotic surgical tool can be adjusted based on intra-operative assessment of the accuracy of a pre-operative surgical navigational plans. Navigational reference points are identified in at least one pre-operative image. At least one haptic response is identified for interactions between at least one robotic surgical tool and at least one navigational reference point. At least one intra-operative image is compared to the pre-operative image to determine the relative position of at least two corresponding navigational reference points in the images. The reference points' relative position determines a confidence level in the accuracy of the pre-operative navigational reference point. The haptic response is adjusted in timing, location, type, or amplitude based upon the confidence level. Tolerances and surgical navigation plan may also be updated and altered based on the confidence level.

  • Patent number: 12315598
Abstract: Methods, system, and kits are provided for sample identification, and, more specifically, for designing, and/or making, and/or using sample discriminating codes or barcodes for identifying sample nucleic acids or other biomolecules or polymers. For example, a plurality of flowspace codewords may be generated, the codewords comprising a string of characters. A location for at least one padding character within the flowspace codewords may be determined. The padding character may be inserted into the flowspace codewords at the determined location. After the inserting, a plurality of the flowspace codewords may be selected based on satisfying a predetermined minimum distance criteria, wherein the selected codewords correspond to valid base space sequences according to a predetermined flow order. And the barcode sequences corresponding to the selected codewords may be manufactured.

  • Patent number: 12313522
Abstract: Provided are systems and methods that allow for brightfield imaging in a flow cytometer, allowing for collection of fluorescence and high-quality image date. The disclosed technology also gives rise to an illumination pattern that allows a user to create different oblique or structured illumination profiles within a static system. With the disclosed approach, a user can illuminate a sample from a first direction (e.g., with laser illumination configured to give rise to one or more of fluorescence information and scattering information), collect scattering information from a second direction, collect fluorescence information from a third direction, and capture an image of the sample from a fourth direction. (Two or more of the foregoing can be accomplished simultaneously.) Also as described elsewhere herein, an illumination used to illuminate the sample for visual image capture can be communicated to the same through a lens that also collects fluorescence from the sample.
