  • Publication number: 20250136242
Abstract: A method for shifting a segmented gear may include rotating a gear cluster including a first gear and a coaxial second gear using a power transfer mechanism (e.g., a belt or a chain). The power transfer mechanism defines a plane and is wrapped partially around the first gear. and wherein the first gear has a plurality of gear segments independently movable (e.g., pivotable or translatable) into and out of the plane. A plurality of radially transitionable sliders are rotated in tandem with the first gear, and each of the sliders is operatively coupled to a corresponding one of the gear segments of the first gear. In sequence, each segment of the first gear is moved out of the plane of the power transfer mechanism by urging the slider in a radial direction using a segment actuator, such that the power transfer mechanism wraps at least partially around the second gear.

  • Publication number: 20250135265
Abstract: Some of the embodiments are therefore directed to an apparatus configured for assisting a human user to perform yoga. The apparatus includes a block formed unitarily of a material that is subject to compression during use, with the block including a rectangle in cross-section. The block includes top and bottom opposing surfaces, front and rear opposing surfaces, and opposing side surfaces. The opposing side surfaces each have a length that is substantially the same as a length of the top and bottom surfaces and a height that is substantially the same as a height of the front and rear surfaces. The length of the top, bottom, and side surfaces are longer than the height of the front, rear, and side surfaces. One of the opposing side surfaces defines an aperture that opposes an aperture of the other of the side surfaces, the apertures extending partially into an interior of the block to a length so as to not form a contiguous aperture.

  • Publication number: 20250139967
Abstract: A client device provides AR content to a user tracks features of the user's ears. The client device builds a model of the user's head that represents the distances between the user's facial features and features of the user's ears. The client device generates this user head model by identifying facial feature points in an image. The client device also applies an ear feature detection model to the image, which identifies 2D points in the image where ear features are depicted. The client device generates the model based on the 3D facial feature points and the 2D ear feature points. For example, the client device may use a feature relationship model that describes the general relationships between facial features and ear points. Once the client device has generated the user head model, the client device uses the user head model to estimate the position of the ear features in 3D.

  • Patent number: 12275404
Abstract: Methods and apparatus that reduce demands on behavior of autonomous vehicles operating in a convoy, such as lane following or leader swap. A follower vehicle receives information regarding a path that a leader vehicle has followed. The follower generally follows the leader's path while being free to also observe its own lateral or lane constraints. In particular, lateral control of the follower, that is control of its relative location transverse to the road (e.g., its position relative to travel lanes) may deviate temporarily from the leader's path. This can make it easier for the follower to observe lane discipline, such as by eliminating the tendency, using line-of-sight distance, for the follower to speed up and close a gap to the leader while negotiating a curve.
