  • Patent number: 12290651
Abstract: Applicator devices (1), kits, systems, and methods of using such devices for treating one or more body surface conditions (e.g., warts, Molluscum contagiosum, conjunctivitis, otitis) are provided. The applicator device facilitates topical administration of a controllable amount of a pharmaceutical composition to a desired area of an affected body surface (e.g., skin, eye, ear, nose, mouth, anus, vagina). The applicator device includes an ampule (40) containing the pharmaceutical composition, the ampule being positioned within a tube (50). Squeezing the tube breaks the ampule, releasing the pharmaceutical composition. The applicator device includes a filter (30) that permits passage of fluid and inhibits passage of broken ampule shards. The applicator device includes a dispensing tip (20) through which the pharmaceutical composition passes.

Abstract: A patient interface is configured to deliver a flow of pressurized breathable gas to a patient's airways. The patient interface includes a central portion with an opening configured to deliver the pressurized breathable gas to the patient's nares. A first stabilizing portion extends from the central portion and is structured to engage an outer side of a respective one of the patient's nostrils. A second stabilizing portion is opposite the first stabilizing portion and extends from the central portion. In addition, the second stabilizing surface is structured to engage an outer side of a respective one of the patient's nostrils. The central portion, the first stabilizing portion and the second stabilizing portion cooperate to form a U-shape configured to cradle the patient's nose so that the tip of the patient's nose remains exposed when the patient interface is mounted on the patient's face.

  • Publication number: 20230041138
Abstract: The present invention relates to the treatment of cardiovascular disease, more particularly to the treatment of subjects suffering from or at risk of suffering from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease that are hypo-responsive to HIS treatment. The present inventors have found that HIS hypo-responders show remarkable improvements in their blood lipid profiles when their statin therapy is combined with treatment with the CETP inhibitor obicetrapib. In a general aspect, the present invention thus provides methods of treating subjects that are hypo-responsive to high intensity statin (HIS) therapy, said method comprising the administration of a composition comprising obicetrapib or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, hydrate or solvate thereof.

  • Publication number: 20200117777
Abstract: A secure storage device includes a physical key input device, a secure memory and a controller. The controller arbitrates access by a host to securely configure the device based on the device's mode of operation. The controller determines whether the device is in a configuration-ready mode based on information within the device. Only when the device is in the configuration-ready mode, the device may be configured by the host. When a device is in a non-configuration-ready mode, the device is prevented from being configured by the host, but the device can be set to the configuration-ready mode, for example, by nullifying configuration data (e.g., PINs), by creating new encryption key(s), and by setting the mode to the configuration-ready mode. A null PIN is unusable to unlock the device after being locked. A new encryption key is unusable to decrypt data previously stored in the device, making such data unrecoverable.
