Abstract: A secure storage device includes a physical key input device, a secure memory and a controller. The controller arbitrates access by a host to securely configure the device based on the device's mode of operation. The controller determines whether the device is in a configuration-ready mode based on information within the device. Only when the device is in the configuration-ready mode, the device may be configured by the host. When a device is in a non-configuration-ready mode, the device is prevented from being configured by the host, but the device can be set to the configuration-ready mode, for example, by nullifying configuration data (e.g., PINs), by creating new encryption key(s), and by setting the mode to the configuration-ready mode. A null PIN is unusable to unlock the device after being locked. A new encryption key is unusable to decrypt data previously stored in the device, making such data unrecoverable.

Abstract: The heat shield assembly includes an inner-most layer that is directly engagable with an exhaust component and is of a non-ceramic material with a first heat capacity and a first thermal conductivity. The heat shield assembly additionally includes an insulating layer that surrounds the inner-most layer and is of a material that has a second heat capacity which is lower than the first heat capacity and has a second thermal conductivity which is lower than the first thermal conductivity. The direct engagement of the inner-most layer with the exhaust component allows heat to be easily transferred between the exhaust component and the inner-most layer.

An alert rule is generated and stored in a plurality of alert filters, each alert filter is associated with a respective building, such that when a mobile device with the identifier attempts to connect to a network in any of a plurality of buildings, the alert message is issued with the information. Additionally, an address of a portable device is received in a search request. A database containing entries for a plurality of locations associated with a plurality of networks is searched to find locations where the portable device connected to a network. A list of locations and times where the portable device connected to a network is returned.

In this method traveltime associated with the maximum amplitude phases (for any mode of wave) are identified and picked from one or more sensors in an array. The URL assigned to a segment allows a user to access the segment via the Internet. For each segment, a code may be assigned, and may be appended to the broadcaster's domain name to create a distinct URL for the segment. While the segment is being broadcast, the URL may be displayed with the segment, thereby allowing a viewer to identify the segment and to locate an Internet version of the segment. Entering the URL into a browser may access an Internet version of the broadcast segment to which the URL pertains.
