Patent number: 12172766Abstract: An aircraft engine cowling comprises a first cowling portion and a second cowling portion moveable relative to each other. A cowling latch secures the first cowling portion and the second cowling portion in a closed position. The aircraft engine cowling further comprises a deflection limiter band and a deflection limiter latch moveable between an engaged state and a disengaged state for the deflection limiter band. An interlock mechanism prevents disengagement of the cowling latch while the deflection limiter latch is in the engaged state. The interlock mechanism includes a lock element moveable between a first position that prevents disengagement of the cowling latch and a second position that enables disengagement of the cowling latch. The interlock mechanism also includes an indicator paddle movable to contact the deflection limiter latch. A linkage assembly coordinates movement of the lock element with movement of the indicator paddle.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2023Date of Patent: December 24, 2024Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Michael A. Fleming, Dale G. Frolander, Lauren Peter Yoshiba, Andrew R. Croskey, Albert P. Go, Rohith R. Birjay, Jeremiah D. Langston, Declan Foley, Ignacio J. Carrillo

Patent number: 12058181Abstract: A dynamic Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC) enforcement solution is disclosed. A mail transfer agent (MTA) receives an email and obtains an originating email domain from the email. The MTA queries a dynamic DMARC module (which can be implemented on a domain name system (DNS) infrastructure or the MTA) about any local policy override associated with the originating email domain. DMARC policy overrides can be published from a source system and stored locally to the dynamic DMARC module (e.g., on the DNS infrastructure or the MTA). The MTA receives a response which contains the local policy override published from the source system and dynamically overrides the fact that the email had failed DMARC. In this way, an email which failed DMARC can still be dynamically considered and delivered if a local policy override that is published from a source system indicates that it should be delivered.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2022Date of Patent: August 6, 2024Assignee: PROOFPOINT, INC.Inventors: Alexander Scott Fryback, Robert Michael Fleming, Jr.

Patent number: 11512512Abstract: An aircraft door translation hinge assembly connects a passenger door of an aircraft to the aircraft fuselage structure and enables the passenger door to move through a desired opening motion. The opening motion of the passenger door is controlled by a simplified mechanism that utilizes a pair of linkages connected by a cam surface follower that engages in sliding engagement with a cam surface. The simplified mechanism controls a pivoting movement of the passenger door as the passenger door is first opened, and then controls a translation movement of the passenger door as the passenger door is continued to be opened from a passenger door opening in the aircraft fuselage.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2020Date of Patent: November 29, 2022Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Ryan M. Patent number: 11510404Abstract: A boom sprayer includes any number of components to treat plants as the boom sprayer travels through a plant field. The components take actions to treat plants or facilitate treating plants. The boom sprayer includes any number of sensors to measure the state of the boom sprayer as the boom sprayer treats plants. The boom sprayer includes a control system to generate actions for the components to treat plants in the field. The control system includes an agent executing a model that functions to improve the performance of the boom sprayer treating plants. Performance improvement can be measured by the sensors of the boom sprayer. The model is an artificial neural network that receives measurements as inputs and generates actions that improve performance as outputs. The artificial neural network is trained using actor-critic reinforcement learning techniques.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2019Date of Patent: November 29, 2022Assignee: BLUE RIVER TECHNOLOGY INC.Inventors: Lee Kamp Redden, Erik Ehn, James Michael Fleming
