  • Patent number: 6722475
Abstract: A safety plank assembly for mounting on a bottom of an elevator car in a traction-type elevator system includes a pair of parallel extending plank beams connected by a cross support member. A rope sheave is rotatably mounted at each of opposed ends of the plank beams to define a diagonal rope path through the assembly for underslung support of the elevator car. Traction weights and balancing weights can be attached to the beams and provision is made for mounting safety equipment.

  • Publication number: 20030019693
Abstract: An elevator door system for an entrance opening to an elevator cab. The system includes a two-part door having an open position and a closed position. The two-part door includes a first door portion for traversing across and covering a portion of the entrance opening as the two-part door moves between the open position and the closed position of the two-part door. The two-part door also includes a second door portion for traversing across and covering another portion of the entrance opening as the two-part door moves between the open position and the closed position of the two-part door. A header track includes a rail with a door track for guiding movement of the first and the second door portions. The door track is held onto the rail of the header track via an S-shaped spring clip.

  • Patent number: 5512408
Abstract: A toner for a two component developer used in a high speed computer output printer has about 20 parts gelled styrene/acrylic resin, 40 parts acrylate resin, about 13 parts hydrogenated wood rosin ester with pentaerythritol, and about 18 parts rosin ester of pentaerythritol, as well as carbon black and a charge control agent. Exceptional improvement is noted in carrier deterioration, fuser roller life and photoconductor filming.

  • Patent number: 5372271
Abstract: A waste disposal bin for containing a trash can therein includes a four wall cabinet with a flap panel hingedly attached in blocking relation to an opening through an upper portion of a front wall. A pedal, exteriorly accessible at a base of the front wall, interconnects with a linkage assembly structured to cause the flap panel to be swung open and closed relative to the opening through the upper portion of the front wall upon corresponding downward and upward movement of the pedal respectively. The linkage assembly includes a combined rigid linkage assembly and a flexible linkage assembly structured and disposed to move the flap panel through a greater range of movement relative to a range of movement of the foot pedal, both the flexible and rigid linkage assemblies being at least partially concealed and segregated from a remainder of the cabinet interior so as to avoid interference with removal and replacement of the trash can and contact with trash being deposited through the opening of the front wall.

  • Patent number: 3977727
Abstract: A wheel rim portion is designed to strengthen tire-rim seating relationship by the provision of radial projections raised from each annular seat portion of the rim. Such rims are particularly useful in extending the emergency use periods of run-flat tires. The radial projections are preferably in the form of barbs, raised from the rim seat by a chiseling action, or knurls, raised from the seat by a suitable knurling tool.
