  • Publication number: 20050254964
Abstract: A progressing cavity pump or a motor includes, in one embodiment, an outer tube 12, an inner tube 14, and a plurality of apertures 16. A pair of annular seal glands 18 seal the stator material to the outer tube. The stator material is injection molded into the inner tube and passes through the plurality of apertures and into an annular gap between the inner tube and the outer tube. In other embodiments, the outer housing for a progressing cavity pump or motor is provided with one or more grooves, with each groove having an outer surface radius less than the outer housing surface radius. A plurality of apertures are provided in fluid communication with the grooves. According to the method of the invention, the stator material is injected into the apertures and fills a space radially outward of the apertures to bond the stator materiaal to the outer housing.

  • Publication number: 20050247711
Abstract: A closure includes a hub having a bore in fluid communication with the port of a vessel. A door is removably positioned within the bore of the hub, and a locking ring is threaded with the hub thread for moving the door to a closed and circumferentially sealed position against the shoulder. At least one rotatable actuator element, such as a plurality of gears, engages the locking ring and is rotated to rotate the locking ring. A breaker bar or impact wrench could be used to rotatable drive the actuator elements.

  • Publication number: 20040108151
Abstract: An electric motor-driven vehicle comprises a seat disposed centrally on a vehicle body, a loading platform located over a loading platform receiving frame and behind the seat, and a plurality of main frame rails connected to the loading platform receiving frame. The vehicle further comprises a fuel supply piping system, at least one battery, a fuel cell and at least one fuel tank, all disposed so as to efficiently use the space within the vehicle body, and all protected from external forces by the loading platform receiving frame. A plurality of partition walls separate the at least one battery and the fuel cell from the at least one fuel tank and provide additional protection against external forces to the fuel cell and the at least one fuel tank.

The vehicle further comprises a fuel supply piping system, at least one battery, a fuel cell and at least one fuel tank. A plurality of air intake openings are formed on the vehicle body in front of the fuel cell and the at least one battery. The plurality of air intake openings are configured to receive at least part of the air caused to flow rearward by the propulsion of the vehicle to cool the fuel cell and the at least one battery. The fuel cell optionally comprises a fan and is optionally disposed in a fuel cell holder having lateral ends that define openings. The fan is configured to draw at least part of the air caused to flow rearward by the propulsion of the vehicle through the openings on the fuel cell holder to cool the fuel cell.

  • Patent number: 6158403
Abstract: A control system for an internal combustion engine having a plurality of cylinders and an engine control module is disclosed. Each cylinder has at least one intake valve and one exhaust valve. Each valve is actuated by an electromagnetic valve actuator. The servo control system includes a control module and a power module. The control module includes an electronic control unit coupled to the engine control module for receiving engine sensor information, a servo board coupled to the electronic control unit for receiving a command signal and sending delay feedback signals to the electronic control unit, and a demodulation board coupled to the servo board for sending a voltage signal proportional to the valve position to the servo board. The power module is coupled to the electromagnetic valve actuator and the control module and provides current output to the electromagnetic valve actuator and sends a current monitor signal proportional to the current output back to the control module of the control system.
