  • Publication number: 20240100289
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to medical devices and, more particularly, to a gas mixing system for a medical ventilator. A gas mixer is provided to adjust the oxygen concentration of environmental air for a blower-based ventilator, by adjusting the mix of air upstream of the ventilator and providing the mixed air to the ventilator's environmental air inlet.

  • Patent number: 11797872
Abstract: A quantum prediction AI system includes a quantum prediction circuit adapted to receive an input vector representing a subset of a time-sequential sequence; encode the input vector as a corresponding qubit register; apply a trained quantum circuit to the qubit register; and measure one or more qubits output from the quantum prediction circuit to infer a next data point in the series following the subset represented by the input vector.

  • Publication number: 20230019432
Abstract: The invention is directed to a device that allows trolled lures (e.g., ballyhoo) to be used with decreased or eliminated snagging of the lure on grasses and weeds present in the water. The device includes a hollow, tubular body with a nose operably connected to a series of ribs via upper and/or lower arms. The connection of the ribs and arms create a tapered shape that mimics the head portion of an artificial or dead bait lure. The device further includes an upper channel that spans the length of the device, allowing fishing line to pass therethrough during use. One end of a hook guard (e.g., artificial worm) attaches to a peg positioned on the lower device arm. The second end of the hook guard slips over the point and barb of the fishing hook present on the lure. As a result, the sharp ends of the lure hook are prevented from being caught or hung by sargassum grass and other marine grasses (bay grass, sea grass, turtle grass, etc.).

  • Publication number: 20220374239
Abstract: In a quantum-computation method, quantum-computer code is received for execution on a quantum computer. The quantum computer includes a plurality of qubits associated with a corresponding plurality of particles, and the plurality of particles define a quantum state. The quantum-computer code is decomposed into a sequence of operations including a total spin-state measurement on particles corresponding to two or more of the qubits. Then the sequence of operations is applied on the plurality of particles to thereby transform the quantum state according to the quantum-computer code initially received.

  • Patent number: 11149395
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to cellular sheet pile retaining wall systems with unconnected tail walls, and associated methods of use and manufacture. In one embodiment, a retaining system includes a face wall having a plurality of interconnected face wall sheet piles. The individual face wall sheet piles have a first length and extend a first depth into soil, and the face wall sheet piles form an exterior surface facing an exterior environment. The system also includes a tail wall including a plurality of interconnected tail wall sheet piles extending from the face wall away from the exterior environment. The individual tail wall sheet piles have a second length greater than the first length, and the individual tail sheet wall piles extend a second depth into the soil that is greater than the first depth.

  • Publication number: 20070137704
Abstract: An intermediate bulk container (IBC) for offloading materials comprises a portable tank including a bottom wall having a bottom discharge outlet. A thermal trip stop valve is mounted at the discharge outlet. The thermal trip stop valve comprises a spring loaded emergency valve biased to a closed position and including a lever arm actuable to operate the valve to an open position. A fusible link operatively connects a pull handle to the lever arm so the pull handle manually operates the emergency valve. A latch mechanism latches the pull handle with the emergency valve in the open position, whereby the fusible link opens under high temperature conditions to disconnect the pull handle from the lever arm to close the emergency valve.

  • Publication number: 20070085539
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method of MR imaging whereby a k-space blade extending through a center of k-space from a subject in motion is acquired. A high-pass convolution of the k-space blade with a reference k-space blade is then determined and converted to a ? function. In-plane motion of the subject during data acquisition of the k-space is then determined from the ? function.
