Publication number: 20070219734Abstract: A time domain measurement method and apparatus are provided. The method comprises the steps of acquiring a burst signal and determining a plurality of min/max values of the burst signal. The determined min values are connected to generate a lower floor outline. The determined max values are connected to generate an upper roof outline. The burst signal is displayed along with the lower and upper outlines.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2006Publication date: September 20, 2007Applicant: LeCroy CorporationInventor: Michael Hertz

Publication number: 20050216429Abstract: A process converts stand-alone data sources to an open standard based architecture and integrates data throughout disparate departments and organizations. Once the data is in an open environment, it is made available in a collaborative environment via Web-based applications. The process does not require that the data come under the control of a central database, rather each data owner retains control. The invention allows users to maintain original processes for conducting their day-to-day activities. With minor modification to client applications, role-based interconnectivity of data can be established to allow data elements to be re-used by all downstream users without re-entering data, thereby improving product and process knowledge, preventing errors, handling data arbitration, improving data visibility and flexibility for decision makers, and saving resources thereby allowing collaborators to focus on core business competencies.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 24, 2004Publication date: September 29, 2005Inventors: Michael Hertz, Daniel Cernoch

Publication number: 20040148578Abstract: A method and system for electronic circuit design selection by interactive visualization. The present invention is particularly appropriate for learning the performance and behaviour of analog circuits, and for selecting a preferred design from a dataset of candidate designs derived from a multi-objective optimization. The method consists of providing a multidimensional dataset from a multiobjective optimization, or otherwise. The multidimensional dataset is then displayed as a plurality of plots. The plots can be one-dimensional, or multi-dimensional, and can include parallel coordinate plots. By modifying at least one of the plots, the user can interactively select an evaluation dataset for further evaluation or testing. The modification can take the form of interactive filtering to reduce the dataset in a desired manner. Typically, this is done through a graphical interface, by visual selection, brushing, etc.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 3, 2003Publication date: July 29, 2004Inventors: Trent Lorne McConaghy, Glen Michael Hertz
