  • Patent number: 11936599
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device and a transmitting device may utilize index modulation for full-duplex operations. The transmitting device, such as a base station or a user equipment (UE), may define blocks of resource elements (REs) for transmissions. The transmitting device may then transmit a power boosted index modulated signal at a data RE location within a resource allocation and may skip transmitting within the remaining REs of the resource allocation. The transmitting device may indicate the number of REs per RE block to the receiving device (e.g., a UE). The receiving device may use this information to perform energy detection for determining which REs within an RE block include the power boosted index modulated transmission and which REs within the RE block are empty REs. In some cases, the receiving device may use the empty REs for performing noise estimation.

  • Patent number: 11933510
Abstract: This application relates to a building energy analysis and management system for measurement and verification of building performance. The system can analyze, optimize, manage, maintain, trouble shoot, and/or modify building systems, such as HVAC systems, in connection with the building energy usage. Measurements may be gathered for one or more HVAC units coupled to pressure independent valves, and sent to one or more Surge Panels that pass data to remote analysis servers, which can receive other system or external data. The analysis servers compare measurements to predicted values and can standardize the predicted values to account for external conditions. The comparison can result in difference values used to generate probable causes and optimization recommendations. The system outputs reports or other data display using a graphical user interface that can be adjusted for an anticipated user.

  • Publication number: 20240089035
Abstract: Aspects relate to using a reduced bandwidth for a retransmission of a first transmission, where the bandwidth reduction is based on acknowledgement information associated with the first transmission. For example, the amount of the bandwidth reduction may be based on the number of positive acknowledgements and/or negative acknowledgements sent by a UE in response to the first transmission. In some examples, the reduction in bandwidth may be applicable to a control search space and/or a data resource allocation.

  • Patent number: 11923619
Abstract: Aspects of disclosure relate to beam steering at a multi-antenna device. The device receives an activation signal to activate one or more input ports of a Butler matrix and outputs signals from all output ports of the Butler matrix based on activation of the one or more input ports. The signals output from the output ports have varying phase shifts relative to each other. Moreover, the device phase shifts the signals output from the output ports via a plurality of phase shifters respectively coupled to the output ports. The phase shifted signals have further varying phase shifts relative to each other and a phase difference between adjacent phase shifted signals. Each one of a plurality of antenna elements at the device receives a phase shifted signal from an associated phase shifter and outputs a beam based on the phase shifted signal received from the associated phase shifter.

  • Publication number: 20240073067
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for equalization domain selection at a wireless device. A wireless device may be configured to support a selection between time domain equalization and frequency domain equalization for receiving RF signals, which may be performed in accordance with detected channel conditions. For example, if a wireless device detects conditions associated with a relatively dispersive channel, the wireless device may select a frequency domain equalization and, if the wireless device detects conditions associated with a relatively flat channel, the wireless device may select a time domain equalization. In some implementations, performing a time domain equalization may include changing a sampling rate into a symbol rate, such as performing a resampling using a Farrow resampler.

  • Patent number: 11917675
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station and a user equipment (UE) may perform dynamic rank assignment in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications by leveraging channel reciprocity. For example, the base station and the UE may apply a common algorithm to enable dynamic rank assignment of allocated frequency resources within a communication slot. In some examples, at least one threshold may be utilized to assign different ranks to different frequency resources. Additionally or alternatively, a number of frequency resources assigned a lower rank may be indicated between the base station and the UE in accordance with a joint criteria. Further, dynamic rank assignment may allow the base station and the UE to account for channel fading, improving throughput over the channel without increasing signaling overhead.
