  • Patent number: 11941680
Abstract: Social network postings, including text, images or other media, may provide valuable information regarding a user of the social network with which the postings may be associated. With the authorization of the user, and upon authentication by the social network, an online marketplace may access the social network postings and extract data therefrom, and market one or more recommended items to the user based on the extracted data, which may include color pallets or texture pallets derived from photographs included in the postings.

  • Publication number: 20220309563
Abstract: Exemplary systems and methods associated with generating conversations of electronic data exchanges. In particular, in one embodiment, a conversation generator determines whether records are related based on EDI data associated with a transaction, integrates the records based on associations within the EDI data, and generates a conversation that depicts the integrated EDI data associated with the transaction in a conversational format for viewing by a user. In other embodiments, an alert engine determines that there are errors in the conversation, such as missing or inconsistent data, and alerts a user accordingly.

  • Patent number: 11391385
Abstract: A valve operating apparatus with controls may include a speed control engageable by a hand of an operator of the apparatus to control a speed characteristic for operating the valve. The speed control may have a zero position corresponding to a zero speed of rotation of a shaft for connecting to the valve, with the speed control being movable out of the zero position to a nonzero position corresponding to a nonzero speed of rotation. A degree of movement of the speed control from the zero position may correspond to a speed of rotation of the shaft such that further movement of the control away from the zero position increases the speed of rotation. Movement of the speed control from the zero position may be characterized by the speed control maintaining the position of the speed control when engagement of the control by the hand of the operator is discontinued.

  • Patent number: 11284658
Abstract: An article of apparel, which may be a pair of water shorts, may include a stretch woven textile. More particularly, a pelvic region and a pair of leg regions may include the stretch woven textile element. A waistband region may also include the stretch woven textile elements, or may be formed from a variety of other material elements. In order to limit stretch in the waistband region, a variety of waistband elements may be utilized. For example, the waistband elements may be (a) a layered structure with a textile layer and a polymer layer, (b) a layered structure joined with stitching, (c) a layered structure joined with bonds, or (d) a layered structure formed from a folded material element. In order to limit stretch in the waistband region, a tensile component may be utilized.

  • Patent number: 11074229
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for a distributed read-only database service are disclosed. Using a read-only database service, one or more host groups are selected from a plurality of available host groups in a distributed system. The one or more host groups are selected for a particular dataset based at least in part on a size of the dataset and on a transaction rate for the dataset. The selected one or more host groups comprise one or more hosts comprising storage resources. A read-only database comprising elements of the dataset is generated. The read-only database is deployed to the storage resources of the one or more host groups in the distributed system. The one or more host groups are configured to serve a plurality of read requests from clients for the elements of the read-only database.

  • Patent number: 10596042
Abstract: A liquid absorbent structure is made by dry laying a fibrous web having incorporated therein a superabsorbent material, and applying an aqueous composite stabilizer to at least one surface of the web. The aqueous composite stabilizer imparts integrity to the resulting structure without substantially impairing the effectiveness of the superabsorbent material to absorb liquid while forming the absorbent structure without removing the water from aqueous composite stabilizer or drying out the absorbent structure. The absorbent composite absorbs the water from the aqueous composite stabilizer. The absorbent composite comprises about 70% by weight of a superabsorbent material.

  • Patent number: 10410125
Abstract: A recommendation system uses artificial intelligence to identify, based on negative sentiment cues from users, item attributes, such as keywords, that users may find offensive or undesirable. The negative sentiment cues may be explicit (e.g., a user selects an option not to view a particular recommendation again), implicit (e.g., a user does not interact with recommendations relating to an attribute), or both. The system may use a computer model generated based on these identified attributes to filter or modify recommendations to a user or group of users. For instance, if a particular keyword is identified as highly offensive to a group of users, items associated with the keyword may be filtered from item recommendations presented to the group of users. If an attribute is identified as moderately offensive to a user, items associated with the attribute may be down-weighted in item recommendations presented to the user.
