Abstract: An aqueous coating composition is provided which includes crosslinkable film-forming resin and about 0.01 to about 25 weight percent on a basis of total resin solids of an amphiphilic adjuvant having an acid value of less than 30, a water-soluble polar end including at least one terminal hydroxyl group and a water-insoluble hydrocarbon end including at least seven contiguous carbon atoms. The coating composition is useful as a monocoat or primer, basecoat or clearcoat in a multi-component composite coating composition for automotive applications.

Abstract: A valve control unit, especially for internal combustion engines, having a valve fixed on a valve spindle which is mounted for angular rotation in a valve body supporting a control motor for positioning the valve spindle. The motor is coupled to the valve spindle through a gear mechanism and is disposed in the valve body with a sensor unit for sensing an adjusted angular position of the valve spindle. A cover is provided to be fastened on the valve body and the cover supports an electric clutch element, a bearing for an end of the motor shaft of the control motor and functional parts of the control motor such that assembly of the control motor is completed upon mounting the cover on the valve body.

Abstract: The present apparatus is especially constructed for osteotomic purposes. Bone extension means are movably supported in an elongated, slender housing. The extension means include an extension member movably extending out of said housing. Drive means are supported in the housing and operatively connected to the extension means. The drive means are energized through a source of power which may be either located in the housing itself, or it may be an external power source, such as a magnetic field. The power source is operatively connected to said drive means. Control means are supported in said housing to operate the drive means through said power source for moving the extension member. Sealing means seal the housing so as to provide an implantable structural unit.
