  • Patent number: 10496239
Abstract: A three-dimensional model can be presented in a two-dimensional digital canvas on a computer display. User input directed at the three-dimensional model in the two-dimensional canvas can be received. The three-dimensional model can be manipulated in response to the user input. A two-dimensional view of the three-dimensional model can be displayed. Corresponding data structures for the model, the canvas, and the two-dimensional objects in the data structure can be maintained and updated. One or more additional techniques can also be utilized in a computer system, such as continuous user-controlled model rotation in a two-dimensional canvas; viewport autofit and non-autofit modes; rotating the model around a camera look-at point; ghosting outside the viewport; normalizing modeling units and values; preset buttons with on-button previews; user-defined view presets; and/or two-dimensional image substitution.

  • Publication number: 20190331446
Abstract: Provided is a firearm bolt having a rotating bolt body with a longitudinal axis with an extractor on the bolt body at a radial position relative to the axis. There are at least first and second transverse radial bores in the bolt body at an acute angle to one another converging at the longitudinal axis for selectively receiving a cam pin. Configuration of the bolt in a bolt carrier with a cam pin in the first transverse bore positions the extractor for interaction with an ejector to eject a cartridge casing to one side, and configuration with the cam pin in the second transverse bore positions the extractor for interaction with an ejector to eject a cartridge casing to an opposite side.

  • Patent number: 10424100
Abstract: An animation preset graphical user interface (GUI) enables users to select a 3D model of an object and to further select between multiple animation presets that each individually cause a 3D animation engine to apply combinations of animation features against the 3D model. An exemplary animation preset may cause the object to translate across a display area (e.g., move from left to right across screen) while simultaneously rotating against a rotational axis (e.g., spinning so that different surfaces of the object become more prominent). The animation preset GUI may enable the user to dynamically toggle through different intensity levels to cause a selected animation preset to be rendered in accordance with different acceleration parameters and/or magnitude parameters. The animation preset GUI may enable the user to dynamically toggle between predefined animation spaces for animating the object. Animation-parameters may be persisted to a file to enable future editing of the animations.

  • Publication number: 20190056240
Abstract: Techniques are provided for self-configuration of a sensor array. A methodology implementing the techniques according to an embodiment includes deploying a number of mobile sensor elements from a base unit to a region of interest. The method also includes transmitting an initial sensor configuration plan from the base unit to the sensor elements. The mobile sensor elements navigate to a calculated location based on the initial sensor configuration plan. Sensor data is collected by each of the elements and transmitted back to the base unit for data integration. The method further includes performing, by the base unit, a response analysis using the integrated sensor data and updating the initial sensor configuration plan based on a metric associated with the response analysis. The method further includes iterating these operations to employ the updated sensor configuration plan. Additional iterations are performed until the metric reaches a selected threshold value.
