  • Patent number: 10360312
Abstract: Methods for identifying geometric clones in a modelling system, or simulating modifications to construction of a multi-part product and corresponding data processing systems and computer readable media. A method includes choosing a template of a geometric form and generating and storing a map of the template, identifying a candidate geometric form in the system and exploring the identified candidate geometric form from a start point until returning to the start point or reaching a branch. The method includes generating a map of the explored candidate geometric form, comparing the map of the explored candidate geometric form with the map of the template and labelling the candidate geometric form as a clone if it matches a predetermined portion of the template.

  • Publication number: 20190218157
Abstract: Alkylated aromatic products are produced in a process comprising the steps of pyrolysing a pyrolysable raw material in a pyrolysis process to obtain a pyrolysis product stream containing a phenolic product and aromatics products; separating the pyrolysis product stream into a first product stream containing phenolic products and a second product stream containing aromatics products; subjecting the first product stream to a hydrogenation reaction to hydrogenate the phenolic product to obtain an aliphatic alcohol; then reacting the aliphatic alcohol with the aromatics products in the presence of a transalkylation catalyst comprising a solid acid catalyst to form an alkylated aromatic product. The alkylated aromatic product may be subjected to further treatment such as hydroprocessing. The alkylated aromatics product may be used in the production of fuels from biomass.

  • Publication number: 20190219691
Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure relate to controlling one or more vehicle systems based on a determined weather condition. In some embodiments, a radar system can be mounted on a vehicle and can collect weather data by receiving electromagnetic signals. A weather condition can be determined based on the collected weather data, and a vehicle system can be controlled based on the determined weather condition, such as vehicle lighting, windscreen wipers, or cruise control. In some embodiments, weather conditions can include fog, sleet, or smog. The weather condition can be determined by analyzing scattered reflections from incident microwaves and/or radio waves to determine a level of attenuation of the scattered electromagnetic energy indicative of a presence or absence of particles. A map can be displayed displaying the weather condition and controlling vehicle navigation systems. The collected weather data can be compared with data from a LiDAR or camera system for reliability.

  • Publication number: 20190215094
Abstract: A data bus interface may include a history buffer and a serializer. The history buffer may store bits representing a history of data recently transmitted on the data bus. The serializer may be configured to modify an input bit sequence containing original bits by interspersing padding bits with the original bits to suppress noise at one or more target frequencies. The serializer may output the modified input bit sequence on the data bus. Each padding bit of the plurality of padding bits may be generated based on values of at least two bits stored in the history buffer.
