Abstract: A portable office device is adapted for use with a seat in a vehicle to form a desk and preferably has a main body with a plurality of storage compartments, an angled bottom, and a two-piece, hinged work surface member affixed to the main body that is selectively positionable between an open and closed position. When open the work surface member includes an expanded, co-planar work surface suitable for writing or a laptop computer. The portable office device also includes a receptacle adapted to removably receive either a spacer or a filler member/plug, where the spacer and plug enable the portable office device to be selectively positioned within the vehicle providing a greater range of convenient and comfortable use for users of the device. The ability to selectively position the office device in the vehicle passenger compartment, along with a two piece work surface member and an angled bottom, creates a convenient apparatus for both working on and storing work related items in a vehicle.

The electrical conductor extends through each enclosed channel. Each electrical conductor terminates proximate to the first end and the second end. The at least one open channel has a longitudinally extending opening to receive at least one conductor cable insertable laterally into the at least one open channel.

Abstract: A modular electrical conductor system having at least one electrical carrier member and at least one electrical connector. The carrier member includes a dielectric carrier shell having a longitudinal axis. A plurality of enclosed channels and at least one open channel extend longitudinally through the carrier member. An electrical carrier conductor extends through each enclosed channel. The open channel has a longitudinally extending opening to receive at least one conductor cable insertable laterally into the at least one open channel. The electrical connector includes a dielectric connector shell having a like plurality of connector channels to the carrier member extending longitudinally therethrough. A connector conductor extends longitudinally through each connector channel and beyond each of the first and second connector ends.

Abstract: Disclosed is a self-wringing flat mop. The mop includes a shaft having an operator end and a cleaning end, a plate disposed at a cleaning end of the shaft and being pivotally connected thereto, and a wringing mechanism. A liquid absorbent member is disposed on the plate. The wringing mechanism includes a wringing handle that is disposed on a shaft and that is axially moveable with respect thereto, and a wringer connected to the wringing handle. When wringing the mop, the wringing handle is moved relative to the axis of the shaft to thereby move the wringer into a position wherein the wringer exerts a force on the plate compressing the liquid absorbent member between the plate and the wringer. The mop includes a retainer connected to the shaft for releasably retaining the plate in the wringing position.

Abstract: A postal rate device for use in cooperation with a scale for facilitating interchangeability of an insert card bearing indicia representing a weight to rate conversion table. The device includes a cover which is configured with a recessed portion that accepts insertion of the insert card as well as a releasably securable shield. There are clips on the back side of the cover for removable attachment to the scale face plate. An aperture in the recessed portion of the cover facilitates effecting release of the shield by pushing a pencil or the like through the aperture even while the cover remains attached. Alternatively, once the cover is detached a pencil or the like may be pushed through an aperture to release the shield and insert card or the user may grasp the cover and push on the back side of the recessed portion to pop-out the shield and insert card. Accordingly, removal and replacement of the insert card from the scale, can be readily accomplished without the use of any special tools.
