  • Patent number: 9009004
Abstract: A technique for generating interconnect fabric requirements. The technique programmatically generates an interconnect design problem based on criteria specified by a user. In one aspect, a computer implemented method is provided for generating an interconnect fabric design problem. The problem includes requirements for a plurality of flows among a set of network nodes. A source node and a terminal node are selected, from among the set of network nodes, for a flow to be added to the requirements. A maximum capacity available at the selected source node and the selected terminal node is determined. The flow is generated having a capacity less than or equal to the lower of the maximum capacity of the source node and the terminal node. Depending upon the input criteria, the invention may generate problems with greater flexibility than prior techniques.

  • Publication number: 20150065988
Abstract: A pumping apparatus for use with a pump set to deliver fluid through the pump set to a subject includes a pumping device capable of acting on the pump set to produce a fluid flow within the pump set. A controller is in communication with the pumping device for controlling operation of the pumping device in a feeding configuration and in a flushing configuration. The controller is adapted to store a selected flow rate and a desired fluid volume of a first fluid in the memory and at least one of a flush rate and flush volume of a second fluid. A flush time compensator is capable of being run for determining a compensated feeding configuration of the first fluid based on an amount of time the controller will operate the pump device in the flushing configuration and the desired fluid volume of the first fluid.

  • Patent number: 8835136
Abstract: Non-naturally occurring amine dehydrogenases (AmDH) and methods of use thereof the produce chiral amines are disclosed. The AmDH are variants of amino acid dehydrogenases. AmDH based on phenylalanine, leucine, and valine scaffolds are provided. The AmDH typically have one, two, three, four, or more amino acid alterations relative to the scaffold. The alterations to the scaffold result in an enzyme that accepts the analogous ketone, such as methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK), instead of the wild-type ?-keto acid. Chimeric AmDH are also disclosed. The chimeras are fusion proteins that include a substrate binding domain from a first AmDH and a cofactor binding domain from a second AmDH. In a preferred embodiment, one of the domains is from a PheDH-based AmDH and one of the domains is from a LeuDH-based AmDH.

  • Publication number: 20140206310
Abstract: In one aspect, the embodiments generally relate to a mobile device that provides a Personal Information Manager (PIM) application with a tracking module for tracking information associated with a user interaction occurring on the mobile device; and a linking module for communicating with an external service that is unrelated to the PIM application. In operation, the tracking module may be configured to provide the information associated with the user interaction to the linking module, and the linking module may be configured to transmit the information to be processed by the external service. In another aspect, the embodiments generally relate to a method of allowing a mobile device to communicate with a source within a secure network. The method includes: receiving an initiation message from the source within the secure network; awaiting a transmission from the mobile device; receiving the information; and relaying the information by including the information in a reply to the initiation message.

  • Publication number: 20130159938
Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to annotating data based on gestures. Gestures include user interaction with a client device or client software. Gestures are tracked and associated with data. In an aspect, client context associated with a gesture is also tracked. The gestures are then employed to determine a global term to associate with the data. In an aspect, a look-up table comprising a pre-defined relationship between gestures and a global term can be employed. In another aspect, an inference component employ context information in conjunction with the tracked gestures to determine a global term to assign to data. After a global term is determined for data based on a gesture, an annotation file for the data can be created associating the data with the global term.

  • Publication number: 20130144878
Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to one or more computer-implemented processes for collecting, analyzing, and employing annotations of data sources. In particular, an annotation component is configured to receive annotations of data for a data source, wherein the respective annotations comprise different associations of a global terms with the data of the data source, a data store configured to store the annotations, and an interface component configured to render the data based on the annotations in response to a request for the data. In an aspect, storing information, the data also stores descriptions of the data sources and definitions of the global terms, and the interface component determines a subset of the information in the data store based on the annotations. A method is further provided comprising receiving a global term and determining data sources that have the global term associated with the data thereof based on the information in the data store.

  • Patent number: 7999228
Abstract: Apparatus (2) for use in operator training with, and the testing and evaluation of, missile detection systems which use infrared sensors which integrate incident energy over a finite time period, which apparatus (2) comprises at least one infrared illumination source (4) for illuminating the sensors, characterised in that the infrared illumination source (4) is a pseudo continuous wave laser infrared illumination source (4) with signal duty and peak power controlled by means of an amplitude, pulse width and pulse repetition interval modulation circuit (8), whereby the laser infrared illumination source (4) operates at shorter repetition intervals than the finite time period so that the laser infrared illumination source (4) appears to the infrared sensors to be a real missile signature.

  • Publication number: 20090210400
Abstract: Aspects of the subject matter described herein relate to translating an identifier in a request into a data structure. In aspects, a client sends a data access request that includes a URI formatted according to the HTTP protocol. The data access request may include a request to create, change, retrieve, or delete one or more resources. The URI is received by a server that has components to translate the URI into a data structure that defines one or more resources indicated by the URI. This data structure is passed to a data source adapter that translates the data structure into operations used to access data on the data source associated with the data source adapter. There may be a plurality of data source adapters with each data source adapter structured to access data on a particular data source using the data structure to define the resources to access.
