Abstract: A method for creating and managing ad-hoc groups linked to an event and spanning multiple modes of communication includes creating an ad-hoc group associated with an event. Available modes of communication are determined for each participant in the group. For each mode of communication, first information for contacting each participant is determined. Second information that serves as an alias for each participant is determined. A consolidated view of the available modes of communication with each of the participants in the group is provided using the aliases.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for bridging user authentication, authorization, and access between web-based and telecom domains are disclosed. In one example, a method includes issuing, to an application hosted in a web-based network, an access token associated with a user identifier subscribed to a telecommunications network, wherein the access token is issued in response to receiving telecommunications network credentials from a client device associated with the user identifier and receiving, at an over the top (OTT) proxy element in the telecommunications network from the application, the access token for requesting user data associated with the client device to be used to access the application. The method further includes retrieving the user data if the access token is valid a telecommunications network context condition is met and providing the user data to the application, wherein access to the application by the client device is based on the user data.

The service template identifies a number of multimedia services and associated logic for invoking the multimedia services, once the service template is invoked. In operation, a signaling message is received and appropriate filtering criteria are retrieved for the signaling message. Filtering criteria define a set of rules identifying any multimedia services that need to be invoked in light of receiving the signaling message. The filtering criteria will identify a service template, and perhaps other multimedia services to invoke directly. If a service template is invoked, the service template is obtained and the logic controlling invocation of the associated multimedia services is applied to effect invocation of the multimedia services.

Abstract: According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method for affecting user associations in over the top (OTT) service platforms. The method includes receiving a first message for initiating associations or disassociations between a first user and a second user of over the top (OTT) service platforms. The OTT service platforms are controlled and operated by distinct entities. The method also includes determining, using at least one of information in the first message and stored information, the OTT service platforms in which associations are to be established or disestablished. The method further includes sending at least a second message for establishing or disestablishing an association between the first user and the second user in the OTT service platforms.

According to one method, a first profile definition defining a first persona through which a user accesses at least one social networking, OTT, or other hosted service and at least one trigger condition associated with the activation of the first persona is accessed. The S-CSCF may then access the same or different HSS to determine how to further route the session initiation message to establish the session. The session may be a session established between user elements or between the application server and a user element.

Abstract: A Legacy User Proxy CSCF (“L-CSCF”) provides multimedia services from a SIP based network to legacy access networks and devices. The L-CSCF includes a legacy service control state machine; a P-CSCF state machine and associated protocols; a mapping between a user's legacy network address and a corresponding network entry point; a database and logic for mapping between legacy user addresses and corresponding authentication data; legacy specific QoS control mechanisms; and an interworking function to handle incompatibilities between the legacy and SIP call models. The L-CSCF may be disposed logically between the legacy network and the multimedia network to translate and process communications such that legacy network and multimedia network devices need not require extensive modifications in order to support operation.
