    Abstract: Catheter monitor integration with patient support systems, such as patient beds, and with other healthcare communication systems including hand hygiene systems is provided. A patient bed that transmits bed data and catheter monitor data is disclosed. When catheter tubing is connected to a catheter monitor integrated into a patient bed, the bed automatically implements a falls prevention protocol. A countdown timer pertaining to removal of catheter tubing from a patient is displayed on one or more display devices. Monitoring for caregiver handwashing compliance in connection with use of a catheter monitor or a catheter kit is also provided.

    Abstract: A method of synthesizing zinc selenide crystals. The method includes forming an aqueous growth medium by combining a mineralizer solution of an alkali nutrient with a feedstock including zinc and selenium. A seed crystal is added to the growth medium. The aqueous growth medium and seed crystal are pressurized and a thermal gradient applied such that a temperature of a first portion of the aqueous growth medium is greater than a second portion of the aqueous growth medium. The zinc and selenium are dissolved into the mineralizer solution from the feedstock in the first portion of the aqueous growth medium and spontaneously forms at least one single crystal of zinc selenide on the seed crystal in the first portion of the aqueous growth medium.

An exemplary wipes dispenser having a self-centering nozzle includes a container, a plurality of wipes contained within the container, a fluid for wetting the plurality of wipes, a receiving member connected to the container, and an outlet nozzle housing for holding an elastomeric outlet nozzle. The nozzle housing is connected to the receiving member so that the nozzle housing is movable between two or more positions. A biasing member is connected to one of the receiving member, the nozzle housing and the elastomeric outlet nozzle. The elastomeric outlet nozzle moves from a centered upright position, the biasing member deflects and biases the outlet nozzle toward a centered position.

Either the first part cam or the second part cam may be connected fixedly to the outer shaft so as to rotate with it, and the other part cam may be connected fixedly to the inner shaft so as to rotate with it. The camshaft may also include a bearing inner ring of a shaft bearing that is held on the outer shaft, with one of two second part cams comprising an axial attachment that forms at least one part of the bearing inner ring.

The security device is authenticated by installing private security software on the security device. In order to authorize a transaction, a transaction authorization is performed using the security device by display a QR (Quick Response) code from an authorization server on a user terminal and scanning the QR code into the security device. After scanning the QR code, an OTA (One-Time-Authorization) code is sent from the security device to the authorization server for verifying the transaction. Embodiments of the present invention provide increased security and privacy. A corresponding system for authenticating a security device and preforming secure and private transactions is also provided.

A security device is registered by installing private security software on the security device that generates an asymmetrical encryption key pair including an encryption key and a decryption key. The encryption key is stored only on the security device and the decryption key is stored only on a remote server. Embodiments of the present invention provide increased security by not storing the encryption key on the remote server so that attackers stealing data from the server cannot pretend to a user having the registered security device. A corresponding system for authenticating a security device is also provided.
